Mood- Why Pastry God Why?
You know I work hard play hard. In the career choice of HR I use all of my certifications to connect with the employees. Life Coach, Emotional Coach ect... so when you've taken on the goal to help ease burdens from some of those that you are helping, the coach themselves needs to detox. For me, food is an outlet. I taste it close my eyes, and the burdens I carry for other people are released. Now add some sweet pastries to that mix and heck my own burdens get released too.
Upon entering was greeted with the all to familiar 85 greeting. I grabbed my tray which is positioned right by the door and began to maneuver around all these goodies for sale. And yes they were restocking while I was there. So many pastries being brought out.
I may have filled my tray all the way to the top and while it was a pyramid of sweet delights, added more. Until I couldn't anymore. There may have been a few that started to fall off my tray but there may have been a quick recovery before it hit the ground. However this is all just a maybe. Lol
Interior is a great size. There is a seating area that can accommodate several patrons. Everything was very clean. You grab all of your delights, pay at the front counter, and if you bought a drink, find seating and wait for your order number to be called.
Would most def recommend- now some of the other locations in California offer more, but it is still in the soft open phase so I'm sure once it gets more acclimated it will be Everything and then some that this area needs. Pricing is actually reasonable especially for freshness and quality.
Location is Stephanie/ Sunset. There is ample parking but it can get congested....
Read moreI've been here a handful of times since opening. I love coming early when they are just putting items out on the shelves. I've tried multiple things and so far my favorite is the apple Danish and the bacon and cheese along with the sea salt Carmel coffee.
Areas to improve: the bathroom upkeep. Every time I've come, I've used the restroom and it's needed supplies or clean up. Maybe increase the frequency of restroom checks? I had the chocolate hazelnut muffin once and it was still uncooked in the middle. I was at home by this point so I just tossed it in the trash. Lastly, customer service is a little lacking when it comes to addressing complaints or issues. My example is that there is a promo they advertise for a free bread item (there's a list to choose from) with the purchase of an espresso drink. When I got to the counter and asked about it, she said it was in the app. My app didn't have it and she said that it's been like that for a lot of people but they would honor it. Well she went to get her manager/sup and the manager flat out said no, if it's not on there they can't honor it. I'm sure made the poor girl up there feel awkward because she too probably thought the correct thing to do was comp it because it's a known issue. She felt bad so she scanned the reward on her own app which was kind and appreciated. Maybe some work on customer satisfaction and making things right especially if there is a known issue instead of whispering loudly in front of me NO.
If these things are sorted out and improved upon, the place could easily...

I ordered two rectangular long cakes and paid in person on Wednesday ($36) and when I collected it at my allotted time on Friday, the girl at the counter just said they don’t have anything and they had an error on their system. She said she will refund me and I can just pick a few slices instead. What she failed to tell me was that she would be charging me for those slices of cake. It came to $38, I asked her why she didn’t clarify I was still paying when she made it sound like she was giving me some cakes as an apology and she said it was ‘just $2’. What the hell kind of service recovery is that when your business is the one that is at fault?
I just paid and left because at this point the party was starting in 10 minutes and people were showing up. My birthday cake was 7 individual deserts with candles instead of just a regular cake. (Would have been 8 if they packed it properly and the chocolate wasn’t spilled everywhere).
So disappointed because I’ve spent so much money with this business. I’ve been a customer for a long time and was so happy to see that they opened an outlet right by me so I didn’t have to go all the way to chinatown. I’m a VIP level in their rewards system, so I’ve spent at least $500 with them but they let me down on my birthday. Will not...
