Should have canceled my order and went to Taco Bell. Service and the food would have been better.

I walked in to place my order. The woman excitedly told me about a special for the 24” pizza with two toppings. I quickly did the math in my head and asked what was so special about the special. The price they are advertising the special is the actual menu price.

I proceed with placing my order. (1) Sicilian pizza, (1) 24” pizza, (1) 5pc chicken tenders and (1) chicken parm without cheese dinner. I ask her for the garlic knots advertised on their website. She tells me that it isn’t their website and have no control over that offer. She then points out it expired a year ago. I look at it again and sure enough it says it expires 10-31-2020.

I now ask if they honor the $3 coupon on Yelp and again they tell me they don’t have a Yelp. I am frustrated at this point and made the snide comment that I hope the reviews are at least for this restaurant and the food is decent. She goes on this rant about being a solid 4.5 out of 5 restaurant.

20 minutes later food is ready and we head home.

It is never good when 4 kids all tell you the pizza is bland. I ask my wife and my brother and all agree the dough is flavorless. My wife said the sauce is blah and my brother said the cheese is cheap quality. I said maybe this place should have been called Ellio’s instead of Emilio’s.

I am lactose intolerant so I dive into my chicken parm (without cheese). Sure enough the sauce is right out of a can, quite possible the cheapest canned sauce available.

Food tastes good but not exceptional. Garlic used is powder in the sauce but not with any robust flavor. If you like garlic and seasoning -- move on. The claim is their recipes are homemade, I enjoyed the crust of the pizza but my COMPLAINT is not in reference to food. So if you only care about the food being tasty despite lack of garlic my food rating is 7 out of 10.

The younger guy, maybe mid twenties appears to be friendly and cooperative but turns out to be a cheat and a liar. His demeanor says: "We are here to help you. Anything yiu need for your satisfaction. " But as problems occur the speech gets old and comes across as insincere. Had issues with my order that was fixed only to have attitude and rudeness. The manager, one cook, appeared to be the manager but did not speak clear English. I believe I was duped. Additionally, I brought in my own water after shopping, he tried to charge me for it and remarked with my bill charge "We will call it even." What the hell. Vegas everyone brings water and he clearly knew I did not purchase it from him. One bad irresponsible employee manning the operation when I could tell elder experience employees were friendly but doing back of the house operations when clearly they need to be on the front line. So I have a love hate with this place. I use to come here often like once or twice a month. The food is good. However the customer service is terrible. I guess they are hiring new staff and they don’t quite make the pizza like the original staff. This first time I had an issue my daughter found a hair in her pizza they gave us a little hell about it but ultimately they made the order over for us another day. We continued to take our business here because we really do like the pizza! However this last time the new staff again burnt my pizza as well as my garlic knots. I stay roughly 30 minutes from this place so there was no way I was going back that day. I called and let them know how everything was as well as took photos. The young lady had explained she wasn’t authorized to give refunds, I told her I eat here often a store credit would do fine considering I am always coming in. She let me know that I would need to call when a manager was available. I did not only was the manager rude but acted as if I hadn’t spoken to anyone or that I was trying to get over on them.
