Disclaimer: This is my personal experience. If something isn’t right, always give a business the chance to make it right. Most people want to serve well. With that said, here’s the real Taco Tuesday rundown:
Durango Taco Shop – Henderson, NV 📍 1639 W Warm Springs Rd
Taco Tuesday called — and Durango answered.
We grabbed the 3 taco plate and a drink, and from start to finish it was a win. Clean place, solid food, fast service, and a little something extra that hit just right.
What We Got:
Carne Asada Taco: Flavor-packed and tender, with fresh onion and cilantro.
Al Pastor Taco: Charred edges, sweet and spicy, with just enough salsa kick.
Carnitas Taco: Pulled pork done right — not dry, not greasy. Just balanced. All tacos served with double tortillas, held up like a champ.
Wings: Didn’t get them this time, but we’ve got a reason to go back.
Sides & Drink:
Crispy chips on the side — nothing fancy, but solid.
FREE soda for first-timers, and yes — free refills. Cold and generous. Gotta love it.
Atmosphere: Nothing flashy, just clean and casual. No complaints. It’s not trying to be trendy — it’s trying to feed you well, and it does.
Pro Tip: Tell them it’s your first time for that free soda. Load up your tacos and enjoy the kind of meal that doesn’t need hype to deliver.
Final Take: ✔️ Great tacos, well-balanced flavors ✔️ Free soda and refills for first-timers ✔️ No-frills, no-fuss ✔️ Quick service and fresh ingredients

Read moreThese are genuinely some of the best tacos I’ve ever had in my entire life. I ordered 3 birria tacos and 3 soft shell asada tacos to go, plus the horchata and chips for an extra $4.
First off, the birria was cooked to perfection. The meat was wonderfully tender, but still had some crispy bits that had been pressed on the grill scattered throughout, offering a pleasant little surprise in every couple of bites. The tacos themselves had the right amount of cheese—you could always taste it, but it never felt too heavy-handed. The consomé… prime. Perfectly warm and flavorful without feeling greasy or overwhelming. I couldn’t stop dipping.
Next up: the asada tacos. Again, perfect. The construction was excellent. Packed with steak, drizzled with the perfect amount of salsa roja, and topped with a pinch of cilantro and onion (not to mention that they give you a side of the latter to add to your liking). They never fell apart and the balance of all the ingredients was unlike anything I’ve ever had before—even when assembling them on my own. I don’t think there is a better way to spend $9 than this food option right here.

Read moreI was very disappointed with this location and visit as I had really high expectations. I gave this place a fair chance as I ordered multiple items to try and was disappointed from the moment I walked in. The cashier lady just looked at me for a few moments and I said hello and then she said hello. I proceeded to order. As I'm ordering this female customer comes up next to me and rudely asks the cashier for a plate and then she gestured one minute to customer and literally walks away from me and went to the side/back area to get a plate. I said to the customer, "Was I not ordering?" And told cashier that was rude that she didn't say hold one second to me. When I got home I and my kids tried the 9 different tacos I ordered consisting of 2 soft carne asada, 2 soft chicken, one fish and 4 hard chicken. All disgusting. The chicken has no flavor at all and the asada had too much dang seasoning or salt as my 4 yr old noticed right away as did I that they were just to salty. Will not revisit...
