Hands down the best poke place in the Las Vegas our Henderson area. They are set up as a deli counter more than a sit down restaurant, but don't let that discourage you . They have a great selection of various types of poke with no less than a dozen available daily.
The Tako (Octopus) Kimchi Poke is absolutely delicious, and my favorite that they offer. The Ahi Tuna Combo Poke in Yum Yum Sauce and the Ahi Tuna in Shoyu Sauce are both aaclose second for me. Their imitation crab salad is also much better than anything you can get at the grocery stores around town as well, and makes a great option for people who don't care for raw fish.
You can order by the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 , full pound or larger in sizes. I end up getting at least a couple kinds of poke everytime I visit. For a minimal charge you can add however many scoops of white rice you would like on the sizs. I'd recommend adding the furikake (dried seaweed, sesames seeds, sugar & salt) seasoning on top of the rice as well. For good measure you can get fresh wasabi, shoyu sauce or spicy mustard sauce, amongst some other sauce options, on the side.
Just off the top of my head, they regularly offer the following types of fish and shellfish for their poke: ahi tuna, salmon, shrimp, scallops, octopus, mussels, and crab. Several of these proteins are offered in numerous styles to suit your tastes. There are also some other side dish options like seaweed salad, nigiri sushi and sashimi to name a few. The store location has some other Hawaiian foods, snacks and drinks available as well.
Poke Express is a hidden gym. Their food is delicious and always fresh. It's just off of the 215 and the Stephanie exit. It you like sushi or poke than you have to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe got here an hour before closing on a weekday, and it was so busy! We were 3rd in line, but by the time we ordered, the line was out the door! Hint hint: food must be good! I actually called before showing up since I lived on the SW side. I asked what time they closed even though it says 6pm everywhere. Some stores or restaurants do close early without notification, and I was going for the raw crab, needed to make sure they had that! I ordered 2 things: Hawaiian Style Ahi Poke: super fresh, and the taste was clean, refreshing, and delicious. I don't like a lot of sauce or thick sauce, so this was perfect! Kimchi Raw Crab: I didn't taste any kimchi, but the flavors were on point. You must have it with rice! The more you eat it by itself, the more it does get a bit salty, this is why they call raw crab the rice thief! I ate almost 2 lbs of this! Must come back and try...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe poke is actually quite incredible, and so is the customer service. I was going to give them 3 stars, because their prices are a bit high... however, their incredible customer service and great product are preventing me from doing so. They're kind of a small place, but have a fantastic seafood selection and their poke is very good, but it's about $16/lb. I can get poke at Smith's or another grocery store for around $8-$10/lb, but this place gives quality. Then again, I have to say that Island Sushi sometimes outdoes their poke bowls... but I think it's more a matter of personal preference. Island Sushi is also quite expensive, and I think that Poke Express has a very good poke menu and the employees are VERY friendly and helpful, to the point at which Poke Express totally trumps all other poke venues I've...
