This was our FIRST visit to Popeye's and since it was on our way home, we thought "let's give it a try!" Well, this will be the first and LAST visit to Popeye's. As I expressed, this was our first visit and I even told the girl taking our drive thru order that. Do you think she'd give a warm welcome or maybe offer suggestions, NOPE. I was switched between 2 people throughout my order being taken. The 2nd person obviously was frustrated with me not knowing their menu and began speaking in a VERY rude tone and even though I apologized for not knowing their menu, she was still rude to me. When I got to the window to pay, I asked to speak to the person who took our order or at least a manager or supervisor. I wanted to let them know I apologize AGAIN. The guy looked at me and whispered, "I'll get the manager" as if this isnt the first time someone has complained about the service. When the manager came out, she asked how she could help me and when I told her, she laughed at me. Then another girl says she took the order but it was no big deal... as they're all laughing and whispering. They then tell me that they're out of what I ordered and I would have to wait around front... after they tried to give me food I did not order and did not want. When I pulled around to park, I waited about 10 mins (since I ordered our food). When the guy came out, he pretty much threw my food in my car thru the window. He never said sorry for the wait or thank you or even you're welcome after I thanked him... just tossed in the bag of food and walked off. Our food was cold and the tenders that were supposedly just cooked were stale tasting... even the spicy ones I ordered. My kids refused to eat the food, but my husband thought the chicken sandwich was "good" not great. But he was more worried if they did something to our food since i complained. Long story short, for a new establishment in our area and for us being first timers hoping to try something new and good (since these chicken sandwiches have been all over the news as excellent)... this was REALLY BAD SERVICE AND FOOD. Read moreI decided to write this review and give this location of Popeye's one star. Why? It has nothing to do with the food because I haven't ordered anything yet, and I'm not sure I'm going to. I'm annoyed and frustrated that I am sitting here in the restaurant's parking lot, around 8:15 pm, and they have locked the lobby doors almost an hour early!
If you'll look at the picture I attached, you'll see that on Sundays, the lobby closes at nine o'clock pm. Of course, someone from management or staff or whomever will allege that the problem was staffing; however, while I was standing at the door trying to get in, I counted at least three or four different people who were all standing around at the desk. A couple of them kept peaking around the corner and looking to see if I had left or not.
It's so annoying and it's frustrating! Meanwhile, there are two people, at least, who are sitting in the lobby eating. No. Not staff. It's very disappointing because I planned to park my car, walk into the lobby, make my order, turn around, and drive home. Needless to say, that unfortunately did not happen.
I simply did not find any humor in the experience. Yet, it was clearly comical to some of the staff. Hence their laughter a couple of times. What's most unfortunate is that this happened in Henderson! If I had been in the hood somewhere, I might expect this kind of treatment. Not...

I assumed if you do a mobile order that they shouldn’t fix it until you arrive, as most places do and to ensure you’re providing fresh food. My experience with this Popeyes location has been a hit or miss on several occasions, today was no exception. I came to pickup my mobile order thru the drive thru and was told they are only taking orders inside, including mobile pickups. That’s fine, I understood and went inside to pickup, I was given my food and didn’t put much thought into why the bag was wet and how quickly my order was handed to me. I made it home and was highly disappointed as not only was the bag wet but every box that contained my food and napkins were all wet due to the condensation. I believe my order most likely sat under a lamp from 12:45 pm ( the time I placed the order) up until 5:30 pm when I came to pickup. I consider this unacceptable and a lack of customer care, as I mentioned this wasn’t my first bad experience at this particular location. The staff doesn’t show good customer service, the food is either cold or wet and sometimes missing items.
