Pinky Promise Bar has quietly become the talk of downtown Hendersonville, and after experiencing their creative cocktails firsthand, it's easy to see why this Main Street cocktail bar is generating so much buzz. My husband and I visited yesterday to check them out.

Located at 101 S Main St in Hendersonville, NC, this new cocktail lounge brings a much-needed dose of funky energy to our downtown scene. The neon and pastel design creates an atmosphere that's both retro-nostalgic and refreshingly modern – exactly what Hendersonville needed.

Standout Cocktails That Deliver on Presentation and Taste The cocktail menu showcases genuine creativity beyond the typical bar fare. The Tea'd Off proved to be a delightful surprise, combining Japanese whiskey, melon, and lavender black tea in a way that's both sophisticated and approachable. The Berries and Brie cocktail sounds unusual on paper but delivers an unexpectedly perfect balance of tequila, strawberry preserve, and brie cheese – it truly "tastes like a lil snack" as their menu playfully notes.

For those seeking something tropical, the Nooner in Paradise with vodka, pineapple, and coconut cream offers a refreshing escape that's "like a high noon but better, dry but fruity."

Slushies That Raise the Bar The frozen cocktail program deserves special mention. As a clairvoyant as well as a physical and emotional empath, it is difficult to be around people, especially crowds, because of how sensitive I am to energies. When I was invited out to Pinky Promise Bar to meet some of my friends, I decided to go ahead and go.

The first thing I noticed, immediately, was my shoulders dropped, and the stress that was holding them up went away.  I felt at ease, I felt welcome, I felt at home!

The place was absolutely beautiful and packed, but I saw my friends and sat down.

I looked over at the bar, expecting to see 2 or 3 bartenders, however, there was only one person, Timmie, the owner and amazing mixologist! The love and care she put into each drink, whether they were alcoholic or not, was beautiful to watch, it was pure artistry and reminded me of the feeling I get, when watching a dancer who is dancing not with her body, but with her heart, as though no one is watching! Her Aura was a combo of red and blue and was throwing off plumes of violet when she finished creating a drink.  And the drink itself?  You would think it was a Magic Potion that had bewitched you, making your eyes roll to the back of your head.  You did not want to swallow it, because you were savoring every drop.

Then I met Haley, our beautiful server!  I actually felt her amazing energy before I saw her.  It was calming and made me feel even more at ease.  I immediately felt kindness and warmth from her, even though people were waiting a little while for their order, her blue and pink Aura had an incredible calming effect on people. And her personality, was just as warm and beautiful as she is!

HOLEEEEEEEY-HECK! This is the cocktail bar of our dreams. Before our kids, we would make the trek up to the Times Cocktail Bar in AVL. Unfortunately, the drive back home has made this a challenge and we had resigned ourselves to cocktail-less evenings out.

We swung by the Pinky Promise cocktail bar yesterday and were completely blown away. They have some absolutely wild drinks you will not find anywhere else, and the flavors just wow and impress. Almost every drink has some sort of food or savory component to it, and I approached each one with hesitation. After the first sip, the drinks just disappeared. Seriously, this place is concocting magical beverages. There was one cocktail that had curry mixed in and it was incredible.

They also had a great selection of non-alcoholic cocktails, which was a huge win. My wife worked her way through those and felt just as excited about her tasting experience as I did!

My only negative is that the cocktails are on the smaller side for the pricepoint, but with all of the unique and complex ingredients being utilized, I will still happily pay it.

In short, this cocktail bar would be killing it in more urban downtowns, and we're lucky as can be to have it here in Hendo. I can't wait to go back and hang out at the bar and explore...
