Whitt's Barbecue — Restaurant in Hendersonville

I absolutely Love Whitts and have been eating there for 18 years now. Today when I went through and got the usual, #1 family pak. That includes 1 lb of pork and 1 side. That's all great and grand grand but THIS time when I went through and DID request the tomato sauce, got home and noticed 1 tomato and 1 vinegar. I thought surely an honest oversight .So I called, the young fellow that answers tells me they ALWAYS put one of each even though it was clearly specified. If you want 2 of a certain kind you have to pay extra instead of just switching them out. After all, I didn't request an odd amount, just wanted enough to put on all 8 sandwiches. Seems asinine to purposefully charge extra for what could simply be switched. I've NEVER had an issue before, EVER! Would seem simple enough to make a paying customer happy, you know 1 won't break the bank. If I wanted nasty vinegar .that's what I would've...

Love love love love this place. Have been to this location and the location in Lebanon. Both have drive through windows and my kids love the thick red sauce on their BBQ sandwiches. Get it plain with just the sauce....sooo good!!!! They also have single servings of banana pudding which is one of my kid's favorite. Cannot go wrong by stopping here. If it's a holiday, orsunday, make sure they are open. Sometimes closed on actual holiday. We warm up BBQ in a pan on stove top instead if microwave, preferably a skillet. They have turkey BBQ that is also great!!! I'd give 6 stars if I could. ...

Placed a catering order. They did not include plates, cups or utensils. We called them up and asked why they didn't include any of those things and he said "we didn't check the box". So my manager got back on their website and looked and there was no box for cups, utensils and plates. You would think it would be common sense that they would include those things on a CATERING ORDER but I guess not. Common sense is lost on them. Plus, the dude on the phone was rude.
