Starbucks — Restaurant in Herndon

Generally, I have a belief that the overall quality of Starbucks service has declined. At this location, the staff seems to turn over a lot and it seems like it is understaffed consistently. My daughter and I stopped in and the store was unable to take the stored app credit I had. The current barista had no idea how to make the beverage my daughter requested (was clearly on the menu board and she did not get any kind of deviation.

I am not faulting the personnel that work there directly, but from what I've seen, there is a lack of attention to their training. Also I've overheard, more than once while grocery shopping, that they are disgruntled.

From an atmosphere persepective, it is well appointed and well positioned in the grocery store. It is easy to miss (kinda tucked around the corner when you enter). It has seemed to be inconsistently staffed...

For Starbucks it is horrible customer service. I went in the other day and waited several minutes for someone to even acknowledge me at the counter and I finally had to ask. Given I wanted to order and go to the bathroom if someone had just said "We will be with you in a few minutes, I would have been armed with the knowledge to ask for the bathroom code and then go first" Then I ordered an espresso but it took 20 minutes to come out and people who ordered after me go their drinks and plenty of people the staff seemed to know, came in and got their drinks. When they finally put my drink out they did not yell espresso (and they had never taken my name) so if I had not had an eagle eye, I would have sat...

This is a quaint little Starbucks inside Safeway on Elden Street in Herndon. Basically as soon as you walk in the Safeway, the Starbucks is right there on the side. It's not large, but it has everything you need.

The staff is friendly and your beverage is usually ready super quickly. Everything tastes great, like at any other Starbucks.

The only reason this place isn't 5 stars, is because it really doesn't have much seating if you want to stay there and enjoy your drink. Obviously this is due to the location, so it is what it is.
