Best salsa you can get anywhere. Food comes fast, staff is always friendly and the food is great.

EDIT: I wrote this review awhile ago. I returned here tonight, and...I don't know if they were having a bad night, but the service was horrible. The server was really slow with drinks and cheese dip. The woman roaming the restaurant with fresh chips and salsa didn't seem interested in stopping at any tables to actually give out anything; she passed our table multiple times, when our chips and salsa were empty, and never even turned in our direction. The salad I ordered had very little lettuce, or honestly, much of anything.

It was impossible to hear anything over the five cackling hens at the next table. That's not the restaurant's fault, but...why leave it out at this point. I think that's why they got my son's order wrong.

My biggest problem tonight though was the poor attitude from the entire staff. No one seemed to care about the customers at all. We saw our server three times total. Never got a refill on chips and salsa. Couldn't have a conversation. Got the wrong food, or just a poor excuse for food, and no one ever bothered to check on us. Our server never even returned to give us the check. We just went to the register and told them where we were sitting. I gave a 5% tip (which was still too much, honestly), and we left.

I will not be back. It's a shame, because up to now the food was great. If I want good Mexican, I guess I can go to Frida's or Don Juan's in Kernersville. If I must have San Luis (the salsa really is excellent), I'll go to the one on Gate City Blvd where they seem to know how to run a restaurant. They don't here. You can find better food and definitely better service with a short drive. Don't settle for this place, whoever's reading this. You...

Before I start I'm just going to say this place is amazing! You can stop there if you want, just go and enjoy, otherwise, let's just proceed.

Atmosphere is your typical festive Mexican environment so nothing bad there.

Service: Everyone is super friendly. Hostess was ultra nice and upon sitting the server hit me with an "Hola" and tbh, I don't think anyone has done that to me at a Mexican restaurant around here. I was presented with the chips and salsa and when I came back from there was also a container of Guacamole puree with some heat and spices in a bottle. I sampled it and wow! So good! I ate half of the the bottle with my chips and tortillas throughout the meal. I ordered my go to, the choripollo. Rice and beans were on point. Exactly how they should be. Moist and flavorful rice and beans had a great flavor and wasn't flat at all. Chicken had a great marinade and of course being covered with the perfectly seasoned chorizo and cheese sauce. They aren't relying in the sauce ontop to flavor the chicken like others do. Amazing flavor and couldn't be happier 5/5 all day, everyday! Even though this is my second Mexican restaurant in High point I hage visited to review I will be HARD PRESSED to go elsewhere in HP so I can keep reviewing. I'm literally writing this review while eating at a Mexican restaurant in Clemmons eating ok food (review coming) and finding myself closing my eyes and wishing I was back at San...

I order from here all the time. The staff is usually very friendly and my order is always fresh and packed correctly. My son can’t have meat or dairy. Usually when I leave special instructions requesting for refried beans as meat substitute and to omit the dairy…I’m usually accommodated. However, tonight they gave me chicken instead when I requested no beef. Once my dasher delivered my order and I saw it was wrong (there were other items that were wrong) I contacted the restaurant and they asked me to come and get the correct items. In my mind I thought well what’s the point of delivery if I have to come to the location. At 9p, I had to take my 9 month old with me to get the correct items. Once I got to the location, I checked my food and it was wrong again. They sent the food back to the kitchen to be remade again. I asked the hostess if I could buy a side of rice and she allowed me too but I feel that I shouldn’t have had to pay due to the circumstances. The manager tonight was a woman (it’s usually a man). She didn’t care, she told the hostess to tell me that she was sorry. Tonight was by far the worst experience I’ve had here. Very poor customer...

Today I went in and got tacos there for the first time, I usually do the alambre steak. I added some of those grilled green onions to my order as well. These are now in my top 3 favorite tacos. They were so delicious! The onions were even seasoned which made it ten times better! I know that food always varies depending who cooks it and this cook today was amazing!!! I hope they are always as good as they were today! I even called them to tell them how good it was! My family always loves their food but I’m picky about where I buy my tacos at! Service was wonderful too! I wish I caught her name but everything about my experience was wonderful! I only write reviews when I have out of this world experiences and this was one of them!! Keep up the good work everyone!

I wanted to go somewhere I hadn't been before, so I decided to give this place a try. When I first sat down I was met with surprise as the bench I was sitting on felt as though it was broken underneath. Nonetheless, I repositioned myself and settled in. The menu is quite large with a lot of different things including seafood. They immediately brought out chips and salsa, and I ordered a margarita. They brought it out really quick and while it had a lot of tequila, the lime tasted a bit old. However the chips and salsa were delicious and the rest of my food, a shrimp chimichanga and cheese was pretty good. I also ordered flan that was just ok. I would try them again maybe in the future and my opinion may change. Otherwise, I thought it was all mediocre.
