This is my first experience at this location and my last. I called to ask about times since we drove an hour and a half yesterday to go eat with my family, and the kitchen was closed. I spoke with the general manager,Annie, and she was so rude and was talking down to me as if I was stupid and was expected to know/guess the times the restaurant closes. She kept saying that due to the weather, there were no reservations after 7:45 PM, and no one had walked in, so that's why they closed the kitchen early. She said the kitchen typically closes by 9:30 PM, but they still seat people and rush them to order. How does that even make sense? Minus well just say you close at 9:30 PM. She said yesterday they closed minutes before 9 O'clock but we got there around 8:30 PM. My husband got down to get added to the waitlist before bringing our babies out of the car into the cold weather and that's when he saw the sign. He came back to the car and we called to see what was happening and no one answered the phone. We got the voicemail that said they were closed Thursday but would resume normal hours Friday. It's very frustrating, but the mosr frustrating part was speaking with Annie. She couldn't get her story straight, she basically said sometimes me close early, but no we don't, but if you come at 9:30 we'll rush you to order so we can close. When I asked to speak to someone above her, she said she was the general manager and that she could take my email and possibly do something with it. Whoever is the owner of this place, they need to find a new person to represent their restaurant. Annie wasn't helpful, she was CONDESCENDING, IGNORANT, and...

Formerly, Carbone's Italian restaurant in Oaklawn, now renovated and called Barsotti’s is a semi cozy and intimate spot, perfect for a romantic dinner or a small gathering with friends. The tables are close together, which can be a bit overwhelming at times, but the atmosphere is charming nonetheless. However, the acoustics are terrible, and it can get very loud inside. Unfortunately, I left with a migraine headache due to the noise level.

While the service was spotty, it's important to note that the restaurant is still new and getting into the swing of things. The lasagna was large and delicious, although not particularly unique. The chicken Parmesan was very good, with a nice-sized piece of chicken and great flavor. The chop salad was also delicious, and I would highly recommend all three dishes.

One major disappointment was the lack of California wines on the menu. As a wine lover, I was hoping to enjoy a good California Cabernet with my meal, but unfortunately, that was not an option. It felt like the owner was trying to restrict our choices and push us in a certain direction, which was disappointing.

Comparing Carbone's to Fachini in Highland Park Village, which is owned by the same person, I have to say that I prefer the food and ambience at Fachini. The staff is more seasoned, and the dining experience is overall more enjoyable, despite the lack of California wines on the menu. At least I could enjoy a cocktail without being overwhelmed by the...

One of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Dallas! Must try ASAP!

Service Staff is always attentive, helpful and nice! Truly genuine and helpful! I appreciate them very much!

Food Food is beyond amazing, very homemade feel. They do make pasta here, and it shows! Many places claim this, however, Carbone’s lives up to the hype. My kids love spaghetti with meatballs, my wife loves lasagna with eggplant and I absolutely love scampi (shrimp) linguine! The fried ravioli is A+ as well! As of deserts, carrot cake is super, cannoli is cool, however, chocolate cake just steals the show!!! Must get chocolate cake!!!

Parking Plenty of parking, nice spots and easy to get a spot!

Atmosphere A+ very home like, all people that work here and kind and nice. Super relax yet professional—love it!

Decor and the vibes Seams like Bay Area or maybe NYC, nice open space with some rustic vintage vibes! Music is nice, AC is cool (😂), tables and chairs are part of Italian vibe!

Potty and cleanliness Awesome, potty is clean, place is always nice and sparkling!

Overall 5 stars, must go, minimum once per week it’s good for you! And to all that say it’s $$$, just think about it, there are cost associated with a business and money has to be made, cost simply reflect love, energy and hours that these people put in! So no, it’s not expensive it’s priced accordingly to the presentation...

I went in with high hopes, but was let down in a couple of ways. So, the lasagna bolognese was actually pretty delicious. However, I don't think it was appropriately packaged -- it is extremely saucy to be put from a cardboard box. I felt pretty barbaric scraping the sauce from the corners. Considering the price point, I don't think it is too unreasonable to expect a proper container to be provided, especially during the pandemic when to-go orders are a necessity. I will admit the the lasagna was DELICIOUS after all. But it was probably like 40% cheese, so it's hard to go wrong there. The meat and sauce were very good as well though. But it did not sit very well in my stomach, probably due to the excessive amount of cheese. The garlic bread however was HARD and rattled around in the box the same way day-old pizza crusts would. It was all crunch and no chew. Maybe it was just the wrong time of day to get fresh bread? (~ 3pm) Overall, I did enjoy my meal but it sat heavy in the stomach, the packaging was poor, and the garlic bread was flat out bad. I would be more inclined to overlook these issues if the price were a little lower. I might give it another try one day, but I think that for the price point, I would rather try somewhere else first.

Casual, comfortable, calamari... Actually the calamari was the downfall. It's rare I'll ever dislike a calamari fritti, however on this day, it was crunchy, like eating a crispy wonton crunchy... Captain Crunch without milk crunchy...which would be a solid thing if the calamari pieces didn't seem to be the bottom of the barrel variety. Each bite left me wondering if I was actually eating calamari or just batter shaped like calamari...a rather peculiar feeling. But, now onto the good stuff... The ricotta with garlic bread was delicious and understandably a favorite, as were the ravioli fritti with side of red sauce. The creste with Sunday gravy was nice, but I've got an Italian wife who would give you a run for your money. The meatball hero is the star of this dissertation. Just enough meatball, slabbed with mozzarella and sauce on a perfectly crispy bread. 🤌 Looking forward to coming back to try more.
