Very disappointed with our lunch visit today. It was my niece’s birthday celebration, and as a kiddo she was trying to decide between here and McDonald’s. Honestly, I wish we would have gone to McDonald’s instead.
Restaurant itself is fine, we were greeted warmly by the host. We were welcomed by the server fairly quickly and drinks were out in a timely fashion.
Where things went wrong was when we ordered a classic cheeseburger, along with a few small plates. Me and the kiddo were going to split the burger and we ordered it well done. I do this for food safety concerns, and especially because I was splitting the burger with a child.
Server said it would be 25-30 minute wait for a well done burger and we said no problem. One of the appetizers came out and it was decent and we snacked on the bread as well while we waited.
About 25 minutes passed and our burger and the other plate from the order came out. When I cut the burger to split, the burger patty was clearly medium, lots of pink. At first I said it was fine and the kiddo would order chicken fingers instead. After I took another bite. I couldn’t do it, it was way more undercooked than we had ordered.
There was a slight apology from the server and asked if I wanted something else, and by that point I was frustrated and had lost my appetite.
We went on to order a cheesecake slice for my niece for her birthday and it was nice how they decorated the plate.
Honestly, I really don’t think we’ll be returning. My niece’s birthday celebration and our dining experience was very disappointing. Not only did she not get to eat what she wanted, I also went without a meal because we didn’t want to wait another 20 minutes for another order, and honestly the burger was the only thing that looked appetizing on the menu.
The server did remove the burger from the bill, but I basically paid for an expensive meal for a few appetizers, replacement meal for my niece for something she did not even want, and I did not even get to eat. The one thing we all enjoyed and thought was worth the visit was the cheesecake.
I think what also really bothered me was the lack of customer service provided for the subpar dining experience. We went there to celebrate and enjoy good food, and instead we got this. 0/10, would...
Read moreWe eat here usually once a week and a half or so. However, this time we went for my daughters birthday and it was an absolute disaster. We ordered drinks and they took forever, when the waitress came back she dropped a whole glass of red wine on my mother in-law (who was wearing white), one of the other family members and myself. After that mess was cleaned up, they brought new wine and the other drink they spilled but never replaced any of the napkins, never brought any new waters, and never refilled any of the waters that were on the table. After ordering food, roughly 30 minutes went by and the wait staff came out and told my mother that the meal that she ordered was not in stock and she would have to choose a different item. after waiting almost an hour for the food to arrive, it was ice cold. We had to ask twice for simple remedy's to improve the food, which did not really help. At the end of the meal the server brought our tickets, and they only took off the 1 glass of wine and the 1 other drink that was spilled. we asked to speak to the manager and the one who came over was incredibly rude. I have NEVER had such disrespect from someone in a leadership position before. She was talking to my mother in-law telling her that she would "reimburse" her for a shirt and dry cleaning if needed but offered no other concessions for the awful service, meal, nor the ruined clothing. When I added into the conversation that my mother in-law should not be paying for her dinner the lady looked at me and said "I was not done talking" and then completely blew me off as if I was not apart of the conversation. It was absolutely unacceptable that this lady thought she could be that awful in front of my whole family. I will be filing a formal complaint with the company about her and can assure everyone that we will not...
Read moreWednesday: 2-7-2024: I am a decades-long fan of Cheesecake Factory, and have visited many locations across the country and in our metroplex. However, I sadly just left the most disappointing experience at the new Highland Village location. I tried to order a drink (Georgia Peach), it was not available; ordered a replacement (Bellini), it was not available, I ordered a third (Mojito). Our server came back to the table to tell me it was also not available, I thought she was joking. She wasn’t. I gave up, asked for water. We ordered dinner (Stuffed Mushroom appetizer and Chicken Piccata entree). A runner brought it to us and it was clear the plates had been sitting in the window awhile. Our server nowhere to be seen, and we didn’t see her until we were midway through the meal or I’d have asked for an additional side of sauce for my very scarcely sauced piccata. After we’d finished our meals, she came and asked if we’d like anything else, we declined and asked for the check. Another 10-15 minutes passes and we were expecting our check, but she again asked if we’d like anything else as if she hadn’t already done so. We asked if we might perhaps be offered a slice of cheesecake in exchange for the three different cocktails we tried to order but could not, she said she’d ask her manager. She returned and said the manager could not offer us a free drink, but it was not a drink we’d asked for. So she says she’d go ask about a cheesecake and we never saw her again. Quite frustrated at this point, we paid our check and left. Don’t know if this was due to restaurant newness and still working out the kinks, but this experience left us quite underwhelmed. The music was super loud and quite distracting, I can’t rate the cocktails because nothing I ordered was available, and the food and service...
