White House Black Market — Local services in Highland Village

They certainly have beautiful things. I had not spent time in WHBM but as a first time visitor, here are some of my observations: They were very quick to greet customers and offer assist. I usually don't need the help but in this case, I was looking for something specific and her help kept me from having to explore the entire store for it. Very attentive to customers while in the fitting room - kept different sizes and colors coming, took away what was not needed.

So far so good. So why only the 3 stars?

I'm a healthy 5'5" size 14 pant. Most of my sizes were not only at the very back of everything, but hung as if they'd recently been on the floor and thrown onto a hanger. I spent almost $700 and I was told they couldn't give me 2 plastic hangers for the shirts I bought. WAY overpriced clothing. I'm not complaining about how much money i spent, but I'm comparing the quality and prices to other comparable clothing stores in the area.

Conclusion: I love to shop which doesn't always mean buying, but often means just looking, getting ideas, comparing value and price, etc. I don't think I will return to this store unless they have something specific that I can't find any where else. Even then, I will think twice. There is far too much competition with better quality and better prices and the little nice-atees that show respect for the customer - like offering a few plastic throw away hangers or folding up the receipt and putting it in an envelope, etc. Idk, a little goes a long way in customer service. Do not shop at this store!! I came in today with my mom and my two children and was treated horribly, not by all staff but by one particular woman. I felt like she was just watching the kids to see what they were doing. She said something to them and I immediately moved them to the other side of the store. I felt very uncomfortable, like our every move was being watched and not in a nice way. We had every intention of buying but were immediately put off. I've been a loyal WHBM customer for years. Ever since coming out as trans, they've always been ready to help and never been judgemental or the least bit negative. The affirmation I receive as a now transitioned woman has always made me so happy shopping at almost any location. Consistently great service and I always find something I love.
