This is the worst experience Iāve ever had at a restaurant. It was bad enough to make me not want to go back at all and we would go pretty often. We went 6/1/24, so almost a week ago. First, our server was amazing. My husband ordered the calamari as an appetizer for both of us and thatās the only plate we shared. I ordered the hickory brisket hamburger and he order the chicken sandwich. After eating the appetizer and eating half of my hamburger, my stomach started hurting a bit but I didnāt think too much about it at the moment and I just thought I was too full, so I stopped eating and just kept talking with my husband until he finished eating. Before we left, my stomach started hurting a bit more but at this point I just wanted to go home. During the car ride, my stomach started hurting more and more and I wasnāt feeling good. As soon as we got home, I ran straight to the restroom and I had diarrhea for two days. I also got nauseous, chills, a headache, threw up like twice and my stomach was just in pain. My husband got sick too but for him it was a bit more mild, he got chills, nauseous and stomach pain. My husband called the restaurant that same afternoon that it happened and talked with the manager. He let the manager know that we werenāt feeling very good after eating there and that we think it was the calamari because that was the only dish we shared and to be careful if they serve it to other people. The manager made a report but the phone call with him was just awkward and it just seemed like he didnāt care. He said he was going to call us back but itās been 6 days and we still havenāt heard from him. I would think that if something like this happened, they would care a bit more and try to make things right(like give us our money back, except for the tip because the server deserves that) or atleast give a sincere apology because he didnāt even do that. At this point, I donāt expect the manager to reach out because according to other reviews he needs some guidance. I just hope that they do better in the future by taking issues like this seriously. We arrived and checked in to be seated at 4:55pm. We were told the wait time would 25-30 minutes. At 45 minutes of waiting I checked back in at the hostess desk and the brunette hostess with piercings told me weād have to wait another 15-20 minutes. I went inside to ask for a water as I was starting to feel very light headed from waiting outside as the lobby was full and no where to sit and wait inside. The hostess with the piercings questioned me as why I need a water then brought me a cup with 1/3 of it with water in it. You would think weād be offered some water while weāve been waiting. Nope. Then after waiting a total of 1 hr and 15 minutes we approached the hostess desk and spoke to a manager who disregarded our concern of being told to keep waiting as we watched more than 12 parties of 2-6 people get seated. He claimed the restaurant is busy tonight and asked us to wait more to discuss this concern with the hostesses. There was no resolution or sense of concern that weāve waited over a ridiculous amount for time and still were not seated. Our server didn't take our menus, or up sell us. He also didn't check on with us very much and when he did, he said, "everything good?" as he kept walking by, not stopping. Our drinks were left empty, No straws offered, etc. A neighboring server named Michael was amazing and gave us straws and offered to fill our drinks for free. He took our menus for us and was apologetic for our lack of service so far. Unfortunately things got worse and we were going to order dessert, but our waiter never stopped to check in again. Again, no refills or food bussed away or anything. We waited for about 30 min for our check. As he did a walk by check in again he had to back track to hear us ask for our check. We asked for it separately and he brought them back incorrect. We tried to pay online but the online system kept giving an error code. We couldn't find him again to pay so we got up to go upfront to try to pay. He saw us and we told him the issue. We paid and decided our service was pretty bad, which isn't normal, so we talked to a manager to inform them. The manager, Patrick, was very apologetic and amazing.
