Not the place for ambience. That being said, the service was just fine with 5 tables seated and one server. Friendly without being doting, observant without lurking, and open to answering questions with a smile.

With the caveat that I've never had the lunch buffet, the food is absolutely spectacular. The goat is unabashedly fatty and of good quality. The spicy sauce served alongside for drizzling on the biriyani was an indescribable treat, and the tikka masala had a certain unplaceable something rendering it a cut (or 2) above the standard.

Then I ordered Gulab Jamun. This may have been a mistake.

Every once in a while, I go someplace new and order something I'm very familiar with, as a way to provide a basic comparison of style. On this particular occasion, I had placed before me a dessert so utterly transportational as to render all previous Gulab Jamun experiences irrelevant. Perfectly cooked and golden brown. The outside just a shade cooler than the piping hot, soft interior. Not too sweet, delicately spiced...

Well, after eating here for dinner, the food was actually pretty good. Came back for a lunch buffet and was very disappointed. Food was mediocre at best.

Then we decided to introduce my parents to Indian food, so I tried to phone in a to go order and they didn't answer their phone. So I decided to just drive over and place the order. I was worried that maybe they had changed their hours. This was a Sunday evening around 5:45 PM. Their web site stated their hours were Sun - Thu : 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. As I pulled in the open sign was on so we parked. As I was walking up to the door, they locked it then tuned off the sign. At 6 PM????? It was so rude as the gentleman was looking me in the eye as he locked the door. then simply walked away.

My girlfriend and I decided that we wanted to try something new, and we saw Lentil Garden as we drove bye, so we stopped. The first interaction we had was with a family that was leaving. They were nice and told us that they hope we enjoy, because they sure did. We walked in and were immediately greeted and shown to a table. Since this was our first time trying Indian food, we took a while trying to decide and had lots of questions. The man that was helping us was very kind and patient and answered any questions we had without making us feel dumb. Once we ordered the food came in about 15 minutes and was very fresh and delicious. We were very happy with our decision and will for sure be going back!
