McDonald's — Restaurant in Hillsborough

Extremely rude employees and managers. Never told us the food would take another 5 minutes, just shut the drive through window and turned their back. When we honked the horn to get their attention the older woman next to the “teen” gave attitude saying “their chicken isn’t going to be ready for another 5-8 minutes, they’re just going to have to wait.” So we said it should have been mentioned to us. We pulled ahead and waited. The manager, Mariah McCoy, came to bring the food over and immediately started yelling at us that we were rude and had no right to treat a child that way. ??? Her “14 year old employee was now upset because of how we spoke to her and she was not rude at all.” She said she was standing right there (she wasn’t.) We were not rude, and when we tried to get a word in edgewise, she cut us off and kept saying “HAVE A GREAT DAY GOODBYE.” I said that it was the older woman that was rude and you’re not going to do anything about that? And she just shut the window on me.

Don’t recommend at all. My 3 year old child was in the car during this exchange. Getting attitude and then yelled at for saying we should have been informed about a sandwich wait-time instead of just closing the window and turning their back is unacceptable.

Now I’m nervous about eating my food because I know people tamper with food. Waste of money.

I visited this location on 09/19/ 2025 at about 645. I ordered a McFlurry with extra Oreos and a big Mac with no pickle. When I got to the window to get my food. I asked the girl where the extra Oreos on my McFlurry because they charge me for the extra Oreos, the manager, Hispanic girl that was standing there with the nasty disposition says yes it’s up under the bottom. I said OK I’m asking to make sure because they charge me an extra Amount for the extra Oreos. Needless to say nothing was under the bottom of my ice cream. They charge me for extra Oreos that I did not get. This has really made me upset because if you don’t know, just say you don’t know, but don’t lie after you have charged me and say it’s under the bottom She didn’t know therefore she should’ve checked because nothing was under the bottom so I’ve given McDonald’s extra money for something that I did not get needless to say you don’t have to worry about me patronizing you again this place is awful and all the people that they got working at that drive-through need to be fired And if I could give less than a one star, I would’ve...

Just wanted to be sure to say that, about this visit specifically, the Fries 🍟 were on point. I couldn't decide what to order when I got to the counter so ordered a big Mac combo. Before I could finish the Mac, I had already eaten all of the 🍟. Thinking I was just hungry, I let it go, and finished. Curiosity got the best of me, and I went to the counter again to order another order of 🍟. I had a coupon to use that... When I got to the counter, realized that I didn't have my phone. Ordered the 🍟 anyhow, what did I notice?? These too were absolutely perfect. Just the right crunch, while not being crunchy. Just the right amount of salt without being too much. Also, just the right temperature, without burning the skin off my mouth. Perplexed, I finished and left. Upon getting to the car, I found my phone with the coupon on it with the timer counting down. What did I do? Went through the drive-thru for now a third order of 🍟. What did I find, yup one more spectacular order of 🍟! Great job...
