Peter was incredibly rude to my family and I NEVER AGAIN I recently dined at this restaurant and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the extremely rude behavior of Peter, one of the staff members. Despite being recommended to stop by for a bite while traveling, I found Peter to be unwilling to rectify any issues we encountered during our visit.

The food itself was not worth the price tag. The burrito I ordered had only 2 shrimp halfway in it, which was disappointing considering the cost. Additionally, the burrito was mostly filled with rice - if you love rice, then this is definitely the burrito for you! The surf and turf burger also left much to be desired as it looked like minced lobster parts rather than a substantial meal.

What truly soured my experience was Peter's lack of empathy and brash attitude towards us as paying customers. As someone who works in customer service myself, I find his behavior unacceptable and embarrassing for the establishment. Overall, I would not recommend dining here due to both the subpar food quality and unprofessional conduct...

Everything was delicious 😋!!! While visiting the island for the holiday weekend, I'd passed by the restaurant a few time and being from the Southside of Chicago, loving the many delicious varieties of fried fish & seafood throughout the city's vast culture; as well as a diverse background & exposure through my many travels & a culinary background that includes being a Certified Chef, with Degrees in Dietetics and Nutrition as well as having taught for over 20 year through the Illinois Department of Public Health as a Certified Educator, Manager, Instructor/Proctor plus Program Manager for the city, I can declare that "SLAPFISH a modern seafood snack" caught my attention and interest then I told my self that I must check it out before I leave the area. So, on the way returning to the airport serviced by the HILTON HEAD/SAVANNAH region.I finally got a chance to stop for a snack before returning to Chicago. I'm so glad that I did; it(the food, service, atmospheric vibe) was...

Ordered 1 Single Fish & Chips($9) and 1 Lobster Roll w/ fries($25) to go. We waited in the restaurant a little over 30 minutes for our to go order. I assumed they were short-staffed so I did not make a big deal about the wait. Now, I was really excited to try a lobster roll for the first time but was disappointed by the bland taste. It was packed full of lobster meat and the bread was grilled well, they just missed the mark on flavor for my taste. The fish and fries was the same. The batter was really thick, hard and greasy with no flavor on the fish, just a little salt sprinkled on the batter after it came out of the grease. As I walked out, I saw the plate of a patron who peeled the breading off their fish as well so it was not just me who felt there was too much greasy batter. I really enjoyed dipping the fries in the dill tartar sauce. That green sauce was yummy to me. The people were friendly and the food was piping hot so that was a plus but it was a...

We eat at Slap fish every time we are on the island. Their poke bowls are an absolute treat. Everything we have ordered here is super fresh and top tier tasting. Service can be slow if they are busy as there are only ever 2 people working and they get a ton of door dash and call in orders. The interior is more fast food joint than fine dining so it's not really suited for big family dinners. But for a seafood lunch treat it can't be beat.

Ok, first let me start with Thanks Chloe and the all the staff that worked on Saturday Feb 27th! Found this place having a Ladies Day Out. Your suggestion on the shrimp roll with the Awesome sauce was amazing! My sister in law had the Power bowl (enough food for 2 people) lol.. and you must try the pickles (fried and grilled). I could go on and on..but it doesn't justify this wonderful experience! THANK YOU ALL!! WE WILL BE BACK!!

We loved our lunch at Slapfish. The daddy was extremely pleasant and competent about the menu during the ordering process. My husband and I started with the Shrimp Fries, a special for the day, and loved them. I had the cobia in their fish tacos and my husband had the shrimp burrito. Both were excellent and so extremely fresh tasting. We will probably attempt to return to Slapfish before the end of our vacation!
