Mellow Mushroom Hiram — Restaurant in Hiram

I am a Chef, my Granddaughter wanted Pizza instead of Jim and Nicks, so I decided, because her Birthday is Friday and I may need t get a chance to take her out for her birthday and she loves pizza I decided to go Mellow Mushroom versus Jim & Nicks. I ordered Bruschetta as an appetizer, Sriracha Honey wings and a pizza with Bacon,Pepperoni, Salami, Onion and Tomato.. I ate 2 wings and 1 piece of Pizza. I started to get queasy and couldn’t eat any more. I spent right around $67 plus a $10 tip. I got more queasy as I sat there, had to get to the restroom to get it out of my system , I was in there close to 10 -15 minutes doing what you do I don’t wanna say it, I was weak from all of that activity, left the restroom we decided that I wasn’t taking the other food home cause I didn't want to get stuck again and I didn’t want anybody else in the house get sick. Once I left the establishment, I sat in my car to calm down my stomach , did the business again, which was a while. No one checked on me or seemed to care even once I walked out the bathroom my face was red , tears, and face puffy eyes. You can see that something had just happened , no one even acknowledged that anything was going on.I didn’t have the energy for explaining. So I left and left the food on the table. The pizza was good but the waitress I had when I went to leave wasn’t very tactful at all. I arrived close to closing time. There were a few tables with customers still left in the restaurant when I was seated. When I was ready to go, I was waiting patiently for my server to stop by one last time. By this time, they turned up the lights and turned the music off. This happened 25 minutes after closing. When the waitress made it back over, I asked for a to go tea. At the this time she responded with “We don’t have anymore more tea. We closed at 9:00pm!”

Usually when a restaurant closes and before they throw out the remaining tea, they ask any customer who is drinking tea if they would like anymore before dumping it. When they forget to ask, they usually apologize for throwing it and offer a soda instead.

“We don’t have anymore more tea. We closed at 9:00pm!” When I think about this statement, it says you should have been long gone by now.

I did call afterwards to let the manager know of what happened and his response was, we throw out the tea at 9:25pm. He didn’t seem concerned about his customers that much. If being sure everyone is out the doors by a few minutes after 9:00pm, they should post a sign saying we stop seating tables at 8:30 so you will leave close to 9:00pm.

Until I can forget about this experience, I’ll pick other places to eat in...

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FOR DELIVERY. Tonight I ordered the Super Pepp and asked to add onions. The pizza came on whole wheat crust (Super Pepp is supposed to be thin crust) and had zero ricotta cheese on it (also supposed to be on the Super Pepp). I ordered the salted pretzels, which says they are supposed to come with mellow marinara. They came with mustard instead. My entire order is wrong. Calling the restaurant for a refund or to fix it is useless because.... The last time I ordered delivery, the pizza was the wrong size, and my order of meatballs was missing. I called the restaurant and they said they can't fix it because the Dasher messed up. When I asked for a refund, they said they couldn't give me a refund because there was no one there that day who could do it. So I had to drive to the restaurant to pick up the rest of my order. BTW, THEY OUTSOURCE TO DOOR DASH WHICH MEANS WHEN THE ORDER IS WRONG, IT DOESN'T SHOW UP ON YOUR DOOR DASH APP AND THE EMAIL RECEIPT SAYS DO NOT REPLY. SO BASICALLY WHEN THERE'S A PROBLEM YOU HAVE TO CALL THE RESTAURANT AND ON A SLOW DAY NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. I really like Mellow Mushroom but if I can't order for delivery and get what I want, why wouldn't I give my business to Dominos who gets it right????
