Hoboken Hot Bagels — Restaurant in Hoboken

Small spot but they open early. I see people mention O Bagels. That O Bagels is better. Visual, it's obviously better. No idea about the food. But if you move early like I do, O Bagels isn't open when I'm up and about. Hoboken Bagel opens up at 6am and O Bagels at 7am. I would suggest O Bagels to open up an hour earlier and maybe you can claim the traffic that hits Hoboken Bagel, especially since you guys are on the same block.

Back to Hoboken Bagel, the bagels are pretty good. Slightly small but portion control I guess. A quick egg and cheese on a bagel is always good and a quick grab when my kids want a bite to eat before school. Been there about 3 times now. Can't really complain. The older white gentleman in there who seems to be an owner because all the other workers are Mexican, doesn't seem to talk much. For a small spot that can only possible hold 8 standing people, they usually get you in and out. Then again, I do go there pretty early. Food is average but bagels are good and fresh. 7am is late but maybe one day, I might be able to catch O Bagels. Until then, you can't go wrong with...

WORST PLACE i have ever been to. no public restroom and told me I can’t have the code for the bathroom when wait was long, lady had the balls to tell me watch my mouth and ACCUSED MY PARTY OF STEALING DRINKS, ill watch my wallet then because this is the last place that should get ANY money for the horrible service and treatment. THE LADY EXCUSED MY BF AND I FOR STEALING WATER THAT WE GRABBED DURING AN HALF AN HOUR WAIT. after the register told me to watch my mouth after i got fed up with her attitude to PAYING COSTUMERS. no person should roll their eyes start yelling at their customer for not coming RIGHT THE SECOND WE GRAB A WATER from the fridge to pay WHEN THERE IS LINE OUT THE DOOR. BE FOR REAL KNOW UR PLACE, IF WE ARE STAYING IN A HALF AN HR LINE WE’RE NOT STEALING WATER. PEOPLE WOULD WALK OUT IF THEY STOLE AND NOT WAIT IN AN HOUR AN HOUR LINE THE FEMALE LADY WORKING 10\28 1:00 am should be fired for her rude comments to paying customers. actual embarrassment for the establishment. accusing PAYING CUSTOMERS OF STEALING WILL LOSE....

Important preface: there are multiple GREAT bagel spots elsewhere in Hoboken, and 2 competitors within only a few blocks. So I can't help but compare Hoboken Hot Bagels to the others in town.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Boring bagel. Breakfast sandwich was the worst I've ever had. There's no grill behind the counter so you conveniently can't see them make it. 99% sure it was all microwaved Dunkin style.

With the likes of O'Bagel basically next door, Bagels on the Hudson down the block, JPs downtown, and other superiors, there's no reason to settle for...
