TLDR: Go elsewhere for your knife sharpening needs.
Dropped my Benchmade Pocket knife off on Monday. The gentleman who appeared to run the show looked at it said he would have it done by COB Tuesday. I’m a bit confused why he didn’t just knock it out right then and there as it would have taken 2 mins tops and I was the only customer. Pop in Wednesday, and the woman working couldn’t say if it had been sharpened or not. I felt it and confirmed it hadn’t been sharpened. Come back Friday and they hand me the knife with the service slip and said sorry it hasn’t been sharpened yet as if to say sorry about it but we’re done with this. I asked if it was going to be sharpened or what the deal was? And they just replied, “I don’t know” so I obviously left with my unsharpened knife. It’s unfortunate because I was fixing to bring my whole set of cutlery here to have it sharpened and I try my best to support local small businesses but this customer...
Read moreI highly recommend them. I called Hoboken Lock & Supply when I locked my car keys in my apartment right before a big meeting. They were extremely accommodating and realistic about their timing (instead of "probably within an hour", they said "there's no one available now but another shift starts at this time so you can expect them 20 mins after that"). Based on my previous experience with them, I trusted their estimate and did not cancel the meeting - and made it on time :)

The employees that I’ve enjoyed working with over the past decade have all left. It seems like they have more work than they can handle, and their quality has dropped to truly unacceptable levels.
