Fleet Feet Hoboken — Local services in Hoboken

This has been my go-to place for years. I bring my whole family every time we need new sneakers. The customer experience is the best I have ever seen. Sean and the rest of the team are kind, knowledgeable, patient and attentive. My kids actually look forward to going and because they take so much time with the fitting, we have had 100% success with every single thing we have ever bought there.

The most recent shopping experience really takes the cake. My parents live in MD, and they have not yet opened any retail stores. My mother has Alzheimer's and she also wears a full leg brace (due to cancer when she was a teenager), so her feet require two different sized shoes to accommodate the brace. I made arrangements to have them come up to Hoboken for the weekend and took them sneaker shopping at Fleet Feet. Sean was simply magnificent. I called him in advance to let him know about the situation with my mother, and the level of sensitivity and kindness he showed was positively touching.

Sean- thank you so much for going above and beyond, for being so considerate to my mom's situation and for being consistently amazing.

1/5/25 I am updating my review to reflect the service my daughter and I received after we revisited the Hoboken Fleet Feet. Shawn (the owner was informative, knowledgeable and patient. Thanks to him, my daughter chose comfortable walking shoes that she initially thought she would not like. I appreciate Shawn taking the time to listen to and hear my feedback. I am changing my rating from a 2 to a 4 to reflect our initial and current experiences.

Took my daughter into the Fleet Feet in Hoboken to be fitted for a proper walking shoe as she suffers from foot pain due to a chronic illness. Although we could see it would be necessary to wait for a consultant to be fully available to help us. We were seen, we were looked at but not greeted, acknowledged or helped in the almost 10 minutes we were in the store. Simply suggesting consultants acknowledge every person who enters, even if they do not look like their typical runner/walker. Had an excellent experience purchasing walking shoes at the Montclair location in June and had hoped for a similar experience for my daughter as Hoboken is closer...

I have to say that I was absolutely floored by the service Shawn offered me when I came in. I just moved to Hoboken and I've been long overdue for shoes. Shawn was incredibly knowledgeable and figured out several important features for my shoes just by watching me walk barefoot. He understood the differences between brands and was able to bring out pairs of shoes what would fit my needs.

It look about 10 pairs to find a match, but during this process Shawn even taught me a special technique for tying my shows to help with my heals not being secure. He was incredibly patient and super receptive to all my feedback. In addition to this Shawn told me to wear my new shoes for several days and carry out my normal activities and if they didn't work just come back and we could look at adjusting either inserts or swapping the shoes themselves.
