Purely Juiced — Restaurant in Hoboken

If you’re looking for vegan food that doesn’t taste like a compromise, Purely Juiced in Hoboken delivers. I dropped in on a hot day, craving something light but substantial, and left surprisingly full and genuinely impressed.

Let’s start with the avocado toast. This isn’t your sad slice of sourdough with a smear of green. They load it up. Generously. With fresh toppings that actually taste like something. Crunch, acidity, and just the right amount of spice from the diced veggies. It came perched on a bed of greens, which felt less like garnish and more like a proper meal.

Paired it with the Green Dream smoothie, and it really was. Smooth, not too sweet, and none of that gritty, chalky aftertaste you sometimes get with plant-based drinks. You could tell they use high-quality ingredients and not just throw “organic” around for the marketing points.

The space itself? Cozy. Not the kind of spot you linger for hours with a laptop, but perfect for a quick, wholesome bite. The team was incredibly friendly—genuinely warm, not the performative kind of friendly you get at some places where everyone’s just waiting for their shift to end.

Is this the kind of spot that’ll make me go vegan? No. But it’s the kind of spot that reminds me I don’t always need meat or dairy to eat well. If you’re in the area and need a pick-me-up that’s actually good for you, this place should be on your radar.

Overpriced and not good--ordered 3 smoothies for $40 and all 3 had to be remade--1 had a hair in it and the other two weren't even cold which makes me wonder if the ingredients are even safe to consume!! I don't understand what happened to this place but the quality doesn't match the price tag. Even after remaking the "smoothies" they weren't edible...what a waste of $40.

Oh and while I was waiting I tried a sample and it was sour from being bad. I had to spit it out it was so gross and could make someone sick.

UPDATE--I called and asked to speak to the manager because I am so disgusted by my experience especially after reading reviews from other customers having quality concerns and getting sick. I was just told that "the manager doesn't speak English so she won't get on the phone with me and that they don't offer refunds". I don't understand how this place is still in business. Perhaps the Hoboken Health Department needs to be made aware of all the concerns from consumers and complete disregard...

I’ve been a loyal customer for many years at purely juiced, I love their food and shakes. Unfortunately I recently purchased two boxes of kale chips and found hairs (as seen in pictures) inside the box tangled with chips. After, I opened the second box and found the chips to be gummy like, I looked at the date, and it was expired. This was only the beginning of my bad experience. I went back to find a solution calmly. The staff didn’t seem to care to even find a solution. I didn’t even ask for a refund I simply wanted to let them know and possibly receive two boxes in return for the ones I originally purchased. The staff was clear that they couldn’t do anything, and I could only speak to the owner a week from the date I returned. I didn’t receive an apology or solution. Sadly, I will not be returning to this store anymore, this experience was completely...
