Simply Juiced — Restaurant in Hoboken

I’ve been a regular customer at this place and usually enjoyed my visits. However, this time I was really disappointed. I ordered an açaí bowl for $15, and unfortunately, it tasted like frozen fruits with no flavor at all. I truly believe they’re using low-quality frozen ingredients, and the taste was just bland — nothing like what I’ve had here before.

When I came back to the store to ask for a partial refund or exchange, three ladies started arguing with me instead of trying to resolve the issue. I quickly realized they had no intention of helping and told me the store doesn’t give refunds — which is not acceptable. Businesses in the U.S. are still subject to consumer protection laws, and I fully intend to report this to the proper authorities.

When I asked to speak with the manager, they told me she doesn’t speak English. I found that very unprofessional and frankly, ridiculous in a customer-facing business.

I’d go to Jungle Juice over this shop…I’m super disappointed, I won’t be coming back here. Every time I place a mobile order I intentionally wait longer than the time it says it’ll be ready and it’s never ready when I go in. To the staffs credit everyone is friendly - I think they’re understaffed. Another time I went in and this employee had headphones in and was sweeping and dancing and I stood there for a solid 3 minutes before he noticed… then he was super creepy towards me and was like I’m going to go back to what I was doing but was making the weirdest faces while looking me up and down and it felt super uncomfy. The smoothies are never blended correctly they’re super chunky, and today when I went in I heard an employee say “what’s a cbd boost” which I had added to my order which was not ready. I've gone here almost once a week since it opened and have REALLY enjoyed it. I'm usually not the kind of person who seeks out natural foods like this, but I've been trying to eat better and this is on my way to work. As someone coming from pizza, deli sandwiches, etc. the food here tastes great!

The owner is a really friendly guy, and I think he's been there every time I come in. You definitely tell that he's passionate about the food, which is a great thing at a local business.

Definitely recommend this place, and don't miss the raw oatmeal if you come in. The idea sounds a bit odd, but it's VERY tasty...
