All I gotta say about this place is the waitress here is very rude and disrespectful. We walked in the minute we walked in the doors we didn’t get greeted. We were already be yelled at. She got on us about the drinks that we were trying to order she was on our case about Our food and our order. If you order something and it comes with sausage and bacon and you don’t want the bacon you just want all sausage you don’t give your customers a hard time. We walk in there ordering what we want to eat whether we pay the difference or not. Were there for some food you’re there to take our orders Bring the orders to the table you know and fill our coffee if we need it, bring us napkins or whatever you know that’s your occupation you’re the waitress where the customer. We get there yesterday at about I want to say 1112 December 29 and the waitress was just very rude very loud. I don’t know if it’s just because we are Native Americans but that’s what I felt like because she was treating everybody else just fine. This lady needs to learn respect first of all. As a paying customer, we expect to go in and enjoy our experience and enjoy our food but that’s not the experience we had. We were even afraid to say something about our food or ask for a refill or ask for a cup of water and we shouldn’t feel like that when we go into these places to eat. We should feel welcomed and feel like not ashamed if we want to order something else or add-on or you know, ask for a refill or some extra napkins. I don’t know what was up with this waitress I know she was the only one and it was busy, but still this is your occupation you can’t treat your paying customers like this. Your customers pay you this is your job. This is how you make your living can’t turn around and treat people like this because you’re gonna lose business and it’s bad for your company. As far as the food, it was good but the hamburger my sister got was burnt but other than that everything else was OK. I don’t think I’ll ever be going to this restaurant again the interior and the atmosphere was really nice but all it took was her attitude. I don’t know what else to say. I didn’t even want to rate it one star, but that’s the only way to get my review in. Focus on better customer service, Mrs. waitress and remember the next time when Native Americans come in to eat try to remember that we’re all the same inside and we all have...
Read moreI want to precursor this review with….it was my second visit here. First visit was a takeout order. I ordered a BLT the first evening and it was really….really delicious. (Who can screw up a BLT??) second night I came in and it wasn’t all that busy. I seated myself and a very cranky woman was yelling at me across the restaurant, I am deaf…..so yell away. 🙄 (I have a very hard time with rudeness and servers that are oblivious….cue….you are in customer service do better to be more aware.) My server came out with my menu and I ordered a tea. She was back within 30 seconds and I had hardly gotten to look at the very large menu. I asked for a couple minutes, 15 minutes later she came back to take my order. I ordered a Navajo taco and also a bowl of cowboy chili, chili was to go. It took absolutely forever for my food to arrive, 26 minutes to be exact. Seriously it was not that busy in the restaurant so not sure why the hiccup. My taco was…..meh. They use chili with beans on it so not like it was described in the menu. The chili with beans had zero salt in it, I am someone that doesn’t like salt in general but lord y’all. The taco also was just….uneven. There were so many tomatoes on it that it overwhelmed everything. Eating the chili today for my lunch at work, it’s also unbalanced. It’s the very same chili used for the Navajo taco, zero salt. I mean I appreciate under salting a dish at a restaurant so others can add it themselves but come on. My server never came back to my table after serving my food, no tea refill no checking to see if everything was alright. My suggestion to the owners, sit down at your restaurant and experience it all. Eat off your menu, actually taste your dishes. Get it together and train your staff better with regard to: consideration, customer service and just being polite and observant. To anyone reading this review, tread...
Read moreThere isn't a single reason to stop here, and we regret that we didn't leave before our food finally arrived. When we walked in, after a long day traveling, we were told to "sit anywhere on this side" as the solo waitress motioned to several open tables. The back section was reserved for a graduation party. Roughly 5-10 minutes later, we were given menus and asked what we'd like to drink. We asked for water with lemon. A few minutes later she took our order. In another 5 minutes, our water (no lemon) arrived. One by one, tables were receiving their orders. There appeared to be the 1 cook and 1 waitress. She bussed tables and checked people out occasionally. We saw 6 tables receive their orders while we waited, contemplating whether we should go somewhere else. Everything was moving in slow motion. At one point, I caught her attention and inquired about the status of our order that was placed 35 minutes ago. She responded, "It's about to come up." Five minutes later, we received my bowl of pozole, and my mother received 2 Indian Fry bread tacos with a side of elote. Sadly, the pozole was tasteless. I asked for lemons and hot sauce. Packaged hot sauce and lemons didn't help the pozole much. The tacos were okay, and the elote was very good. Would I return or recommend Tom & Suzie's? That would be a hard NO. Yes, I fully understand that 2 people were attempting to run the show. They might have been new. Cooking 1 meal at a time before starting another when you've got 7 tables with orders in makes me wonder. BUT.... if you've got a big sign with reserved tables for an event, you should have the staff and be prepared for it. When we left, there were easily 10 people waiting... some to have their orders taken and others waiting for orders they had placed. There must not be very many options in Holbrook, but the owner of Tom & Suzie's...
