3/17/2022 APPALLED AND MAD! My dad chose to go to Applebeeâs for his 75th birthday. My dad got a card with very sentimental writing inside and we accidentally left it on the table. I was so sick inside myself. As soon as i got home and noticed i didnât have the card, i called and asked to speak with manager. I spoke with Corrine, explained the situation and asked if someone seen it. She placed me on hold and came back to say that no, it wasnât there. I asked if it could be in the garbage and she said No that she looked everywhere. She stated that she asked staff and staff said they didnât see it. LIARS! I drove there, walked over to our table and it wasnât there. Right beside my table was the âcarry/outâ computer and to-go table. There is a garbage can there. I walked to it, moved 2 wadded up brown paper towels and there it wasâŚ. My dads card was thrown away đ¤¨đ instead of CARING FOR YOUR CUSTOMER and placing this really sweet card in âlost itemsâ someone decided it was ok to throw it in the garbage. Im really glad i was able to retrieve it. BUT SHAME ON THE STAFF who threw it away. The manager Corrine said âyou donât know it was staff, it couldâve been a customerâ BS! Any customer who found this card wouldâve turned it in and said âsomeone left thisâ at which point any caring person would think that someone would be calling to come back for the card. I was gone from the restaurant less than 30 min. Plus it was thrown in a garbage that a customer would not be using. I will never go back to this restaurant again. Plus our service sucked while we were there. The server kept forgetting to bring me my âtipsy leprechaunâ drink. I had to ask...
Read moreWas there recently and had the $9.99 special bacon cheeseburger, which was surprisingly good, although the fries are just average. I also ordered the onion soup without bread/croutons (normally, these make up the majority of the volume of the soup and are a soggy mess with zero texture) and it took two tries to get this right, having sent the first bowl back to the kitchen. Round-2 was much better and arrived as ordered. A tip of the hat to my server, Chris, who was very helpful in getting the order right. She indicated that she had ordered it correctly the first time but that the kitchen had not read the order correctly. Most of the onion soup in this area is served this way, i.e. full of bread and no real croutons. I could take it with real croutons if they don't overwhelm the the soup. So there is some room for improvement in this area as any kitchen can make real croutons.
Note that as of 6-5-2025, they are remodelling the restaurant in stages and I was told that it would be 6-8 weeks before all of the remodelling is done. Seating will be more limited than usual. Upgrades will include the front of house, back of the house, and some to...
Read moreIâm rating this purely on my experience as a whole. The first 5 minutes of my experience went alright. I could tell that the wait staff was a bit stressed because of the large tables and the fact that it was a Saturday night. But for a table with only 5 people, the staff as a whole seemed to struggle with orders that werenât complicated at all. Our food came out in 10 minute increments, so by the time the last person got their food, the first person had already been done for a half hour. And on top of that, they kept messing up the orders. And they kept asking if we were missing anything, which we responded with what we were missing, so they went and told the kitchen. Eventually, the manager (Sandra) came out and started telling us to stop telling the wait staff what was missing, and she used a very passive aggressive and condescending tone, including bad words, even though they were asking us and we werenât being rude about it all. We were understanding of the fact that it was a busy night and that our server was relatively new, but if the manager hadnât come out and yelled at us I wouldnât have to leave a review for this in the...
