We recently heard about taco & bar and were excited to check it out while in town. The tacos were some of the best Iāve ever had, unique and well paired combinations! Though the tacos were beyond our expectations, I couldnāt give 5 stars due to the poor service and disposition toward children. As we approached the entrance, a waitress loudly told the hostess for us to hear intentionally, āwe do not have booster seats or a childrenās menu!ā. We fully understand a new establishmentās atmosphere is essential to maintain, but we have a very well behaved preschooler who is a mini-foodie and incredibly use to appropriate restaurant behavior, the kid does not even know chicken nuggets or Mac & cheese. Had the hostess kindly relayed the lack of kid items, it wouldnāt have been a big deal, but doing so in an intentionally unwelcoming way upon entry, was a turn off. Honestly, weāll be back, the tacos are that good. But Iād like to encourage the staff to be more mindful of commentary for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were excited to try this place out and were disappointed. We got seated before they even had cleared off and cleaned the table. We looked pass this as we knew they were trying to turn tables. We waited 10 minutes for a waitress to greet us and promptly ordered. Then we waited another 20 minutes for our drinks and chips and Guacamole. An hour into our seated experience we still had no dinner and tables that were seated 30 minutes after us were getting their meals. We questioned our waitress who had been Mia for 30 minutes and she came back and admitted she didnāt submit the order. We told her we would cash out and leave. At this point you think she would be offering to Comp our drinks or something and try to get our food out to us. However that didnāt happen. Itās too bad as we were excited to try this place. We noticed another table with our same experience also decided to leave. Iād go get street tacos over by Tulip City and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSimple & modern twist on a taco joint- we tried it on a Friday night about 7pm, Got the last outdoor table. Place was full, which is a good sign. Server/waitstaff were very friendly and attentive but also chill. Didnāt feel pressured to over order. I was very pleased with my chicken and blackened fish tacos- theyāre on the pricey side for what they are- but the restaurant has a fancier date spot vibe so it makes sense. I was not impressed by the chips and queso- queso was a grainy texture. Overall, good spot for a date night or friend meet up- everyone says their margaritas are very good- we only did water tonight. They use old tequila bottles to serve chilled water at each table which was an eclectic detail to the dining experience š itās a cute outdoor patio off The busy stretch of 8th avenue across from an industrial plant- but somehow it still works! Lots of flowers and over head light...
