We visited this Freddy's location in Holly Springs last weekend. The staff is so friendly, and courteous, and it begins at the cash register. As we sat eating our late afternoon meal, my adult son and I noted how efficient the grill line staff was especially, a woman named, "Shameka". The restaurant was packed, yet she did not miss a thing. Whenever a customer went up to her for assistance, she immediately responded patiently, and kindly, and worked it into the rhythm of fulfilling orders without missing a beat. If a customer started to pick up the wrong order, she spotted it right away, and kept things humming along. We were impressed at how hard she was working, all with a smile on her face. I told my son that I wanted to find out if she was the kitchen manager, and her name before we left. Meanwhile, staff members were kindly removing the trays for guests who had finished eating their meals. When I approached the grill line counter, another employee stepped up to the counter as this hard working woman had just taken a moment to step to the back and take a rushed, and much needed drink of a cold beverage. Even as soon as she had, there I was interrupting her. Yet, she happily, and politely came over to assist me. Meanwhile, I noted that another nice young lady came up quietly, was standing by, and paying close attention to what I had to say. It was then that I recognized by her uniform that she was the manager. I addressed her, and later learned her name is Alexis. Meanwhile, the staff on the grill line kept working efficiently. I complimented these ladies on their work ethic and customer service. Upon leaving, we went through the drive-thru to get ice cream for my granddaughter. While waiting, I could see the manager, Alexis overseeing the line not readily seen from the dining area. Everything was running like a well-oiled machine. This restaurant's entire staff is on the ball! These days, it isn't a regular thing to see such efficient, and pleasant customer service. It isn't the just name on the door that makes a visit so enjoyable. It is the people working inside. Thank you to all the staff and management at Freddy's, Holly Springs, NC for all...
Read moreIt’s just getting so disappointing to go out to eat. In the recent years we had stopped going out to eat, whether it’s for quick lunch or dinner mainly because the food quality and service is just abysmal.
I used to love Freddy’s and especially this particular location. But unfortunately just like most places this place was a huge disappointment. We shouldn’t have to accept this bad food and bad service especially how much the prices have gone up.
I think it’s OK for the prices to go up as long as you can reciprocate with amazing service and good quality food. The biggest issue on my last visit (on a slow Monday lunch hour) was that the quality of food was mediocre. The bun was squished on one side and it’s rather confusing why it was squished on one side (almost like it got pressed between two hot iron). The patty was a little on the colder side. I picked a meal option and upgraded from fries to onion rings and paid even more money. Onion rings looked very small nothing exciting and the quantity just felt not enough especially when there was an up charge.
This particular location is not too old, and it was built in the last 7 years, so overall it doesn’t look old or dirty, but the tables and floors weren’t very clean. Somebody had wiped the table, but you could tell like it had left all the water streaks and stickiness on the table, and it’s hard to explain, but the level of sanitation was just not there. It is something you have to experience to understand what I’m talking about. Staff just chilling in the kitchen with no sense of pride or care I what they were doing.
I guess we will continue boycotting most fast food places with the exception of chipotle which is probably the only fast food or fast casual that I actually look forward to when we do think about going out to eat or grabbing a bite.
I really loved Freddy’s and it is so sad how things are deteriorating so fast it’s simply...
Read moreThe place overwhelmingly smelled like cleaning solution - which could be good or bad .... Good that they are cleaning, but during operating hours when customers are there? But also bad because you are not enticed by the aroma of tempting food cooking on the grill, so you only get bare essentials for a meal and leave.
Update your registers to take orders for what you are abundantly advertising! The new sandwich is a French onion steak burger ... Many signs in the window advertising it and it's in the scrolling menu board by register promoting something new. When we tried to order it (effective advertising, yes!), the cashier said she could not enter it so we could not have it! Poor process. We were however able to download the app to our phone, order said sandwich on the app and pick it up as a carry out order. How is this logical?! So two of us dining out & one could place an order at the register & one has to order on the app ... Worst part is one of us had to wait an extra 15 mins for food when we were dining in together. Terrible process management, sadly. Needs improvement.
Once received, the FO sandwich was made correctly and tasted great. However we wanted to actually eat together at the same time, so the first sandwich and fries were room temp and not hot as it should be enjoyed
I have a feeling there was another customer following us with the same issue, unfortunately.....
Then, the concrete we ordered for dessert was actually as runny as a milkshake. We tossed it, sadly to waste. The manager did well by us and immediately remaid it correctly! Thank you!! However, there might need to be some follow up training on how to properly make products to avoid this in the future.
In spite of all this, we did like the food, thus 3 stars for an ok experience. Not stellar, could be better, but not horrendously awful, won't come back either. We'll give them another...
