Ducks, as the locals call it. I believe is the hometown favorite for the locals. I enjoyed an excellent meal at the quant restaurant located next door. Which I’ve transcribed in a previous review, so I’ll spare the magnificent details of my visit. A live band was performing at the bar, a group of musicians originating from the area, “Pressure Dem,” was the bands name. A variety of different genres, Rock, Reggae, soul, interwoven to generate a unique flow of artistic talent. I was excited to be able to purchase a “CD,” the group had made. They remind me of “slightly stoopid,” or Pepper, to better known bands in the genre. The place was packed, to capacity actually, which I was informed by the security man at the doors entrance, checking I.D. Cards, and keeping the line outside the door in good order. The front entrance was inundated with people, who were mostly locals smoking and conversing with friends. Inside the bar is non-smoking, which is a major plus, I believe. Whence inside, the bartenders were in a frenzy, getting everyone there drinks, which actually didn’t take long, considering. The band was jamming, there was a dance area in front of the stage, where plenty of beautiful people were swaying to the music. Lost in paradise, on the beautiful Anna Maria island. I’m sure after a day spent shopping, and laying on the beach all day. Closing time was 2.30 A.M.... We were sad to go I must confess, but all the more excited to return once the island opens its doors again, which unfortunately due to the virus, has suspended that opportunity for the time being. Don’t miss out, when things open, this bar will be one of the best...

do not go here if you are visiting on vacation. As soon as we walked in as a group of three, we were ignored for about 10 minutes before somebody took our order. Shortly after that, we over heard everybody in the bar, including the bar tender talking about us and making fun of us since we were not from there. There was a clear disconnect between us and everybody in the bar, so we left shortly after. Bar tender was...

I come from a small town atmosphere, This bar had so much potential and we were excited to come. We were looking for a bar off the beaten path. Unfortunately, it was a complete and utter disappointment. The bar tender was nothing but rude (Shane was his name) ! We spent well over $100 and he told us how WE could be better bar patrons. We were nothing but polite. I have never been treated so unprofessional /rude in my...

Ducks is a great mid island bar, easily accessed by the free trolley if you stay up island or down. Friendly locals that are not snooty to the tourists and all the bar staff over the years have been on top form. This trip Ritchie and Cat are great.
