We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs for my son for his birthday because itâs his favorite food. We initially had planned to eat here but many of the reviews we read stated the restaurant was âmostly take-outâ with âlimited seatingâ. I can attest to this as when I was in there I saw no seating whatsoever. As far as the spaghetti goes, my son loved it. The portion was huge and after looking back on the menu, I saw that it was meant for two. This allowed him to have leftovers the next day which got no complaints from him. The atmosphere inside was very pleasant. There was a gentleman playing gentle guitar music and the decor fit the style of the restaurant. The smells as you enter were amazing as well. Where I feel like Vinnyâs could improve would be the service. There was a nice lady that took my order, but besides her, I never felt as though my business was wanted. There was one particular older gentleman behind the counter that downright made me feel unwelcome. He wore what appeared to be a permanent scowl on his face and when he looked at me, all I felt was that he didnât want me to be there. Another gentleman that gave me my order was pleasant enough, but when he handed me the spaghetti, he told that he put in a âhalf a loaf of breadâ as though it was a favorâŚthe bread, however, was stale. Overall, I would recommend Vinnyâs to anyone seeking tasty, authentic Italian food, but definitely plan on getting it to go, and donât overstay...
Read moreWell we never got the chance on this trip to Fla. to visit Vinnyâs. I was hoping to be able to order a gluten free dinner or pizza. We picked up take out dinners here in Jan. 2021 so we decided to go back on this trip! I called the phone number listed about 15-20 times on Wed. 9/7/22 from 3 pm thru 6:45 pm and I could not get anyone to answer the phone! The voicemail picked up every single time. They are too busy to answer the phone for 3 hrs and 45!min??? We just wanted to place a pick up order for our dinner! First of all they are only open from 11 am until 7 pm. They stop taking dinner orders at 6:30 pm and they take pizza orders until 7 pm. The phone message says that if you cant get thru via phone to place an order-that you should go in person to place the order. Very inconvenient! Maybe they dont need the business?? If they did 1. They would answer the phone and 2. They would stay open later into the evening to take advantage of the dinner crowd. Dont call here expecting to talk to anyone for anything. Very aggravating!! We found a better Italian/pizza restaurant on the island with...
Read moreI donât know why anyone likes this place. The woman at the front desk is about as friendly as a stick. The food sucks, (the pizza is ok, sub par, everything is astronomically over priced. $7 for a pint of slightly garlicky heavy cream thatâs supposed to resemble Alfredo but with no cheese? Just straight bland watery milk.. Yuck! Their bolognese is terrible. What is it? Is it because it slightly resembles an Italian market up north. If theyâre from Florida, then fine. Food pretty much sucks everywhere. But If theyâre from NY, they should be ashamed of y themselves. And you should be too for buying food here. theyâre robbing locals and tourists. Youâre better off at Carrabbas on Cortez for Italian. Weak weak weak. Look at your receipts, they straight up Rob you.and charge you for whatever they want. I got a lb of pasta and two pints of watery sauce for $28 đđđđđ 2- non categorized items..I donât know who Vinny is but This place deserves two thumbs down. Absolute...
