Our group was pumped to try out axe throwing but were extremely disappointed by the experience here. We all decided we won't be back to this venue nor will we recommend it to friends who visit because it wasn't worth $120 for 1.5 hours. We saw online the venue is BYOB, so we did, but upon arrival were told we had to pay an extra fee of $5 each to drink. They took the cooler from us at the door and had to "give" us a drink from it each time we wanted one. Honestly wouldn't have been a big deal had we been warned before of this "rule" because we wouldn't have lugged a cooler to the venue but it isn't online anywhere, nor in the instructions, so it felt off-putting for the unnecessary price gouging to have a beer. The atmosphere was also unfriendly and unwelcoming; it was empty and our coach wasn't adequate at helping us figure out the best techniques (although we saw another group who arrived after us had a much better experience with a different coach). Honestly, for the money we spent, we would have preferred to try a different activity and not been so disappointed. One of our group members has been to another facility and said it was a way...
Read moreWhat a wonderful place to hang out with family and friends. My friend and I got treated to this place to celebrate our birthdays together with our family and friends. We both haven’t thrown an axe for years. Me in 19 years. Forgot how much fun it was. The staff were friendly and very well trained in the art of axe throwing. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try something new and fun. My daughter and her friend had a blast. No one had a hard time learning how to throw. Everyone who never threw an axe got it in less than 5 minutes. Some faster than others. I’m not kidding. Just remember the directions the staff gives you and you’re good to go. Repetition is key. Everyone in the place were having a wonderful time. Perfect place for team building exercise as you go up against one another in scoring the highest points as a team. We had two separate teams and we just had so much fun. Will definitely be...
Read moreIt’s a decent venue, but the only problem I have with it is the fact they won’t allow you to bring your own axe. I have been to many axe throwing venues on the mainland and each one allows personal axes to be brought. I competed in many tournaments and know exactly what I’m doing with my hatchet. I have seen a small handful of other people that they allow to bring their own axe but when I used mine I was asked to put my axes away. I was told by an employee to email the Blade & Timber website about a waiver of some sort to be able bring my own hatchet, when I messaged them they told me it wasn’t allowed and when I asked them about the others who throw their own axes they completely ignored me. I see no problem with using my own hatchet if anything it saves the venue from purchasing more axes if guest break the house axes. Allow people to use their own hatchet and have fun...
