E.A.R.L. Kakaako — Restaurant in Honolulu

Would give no stars if I could. This is the restaurant that fired me because, I had a doctor's note saying that I couldn't be around food because I was sick. I could be in public but only with a mask, but around food could possibly be a risk. Not only did this restaurant fire me because I was told by my doctor not to be around food to prevent people from getting sick; (since my doc know that I work in the restaurant industry) This boss called and fired me after I intentionally hoping to help the business came on my lunch break to buy food since! I couldn't contribute, to working so honestly out of kindness! I was going to school and working at the same time and after spending my money with my friend( who also purchased food) who I brought along with me, immediately heading back to school which I had to attend sick! I got a call during my class telling me that I was fired, I was very young at the time and I loved working here and I even begged for my job back because I would have worked if the boss asked me to but my doctor was very clear that if I worked I would get other sick and I did not want to do that! I was wearing a covid mask before there was even covid due to the sickness. And although the mask prevented people around me from getting sick if I were to start touching surfaces in my job there's a chance that I could have gotten someone sick which is why I was very cautious when I was out in public and why I had a doctor's note from my doctor. But the heartless owner fired me. If you want to go to this restaurant for taste their food does taste good I can't take anything away from that they have bacon jam delicious! But do they care for their employees? No, not the female black ones no, no, they don't! Used to love...

Ordered the Cubano, it's my absolute favorite sandwich and fries. And when I saw Jacobs review, the first sentence or couple reviewed it, I was sold!

You go in and you can see the kitchen and where they prepare their food, which is always very cool, because you can tell how clean everything is. I also love watching people cook, too bad I was busy doing something.

I wish I could get a beer at 11am. Too bad I'm not confident enough to do so. Lol

The Cubano was so good, it was inhaled. All the flavors were so delicious, the mustard, the meats, the bread was nice and toasted, not the traditional Cubano because it wasn't panini style, but that's ok, the bread was so good.

The fries are waffle fries, so crunchy, perfect amount of salt for someone who loves salt, they gave ketchup and napkins togo. You can always eat in or right outside.

I would totally come back here, if I lived or worked close by. Which I don't. 😭

My go to Sunday lunch place in kakaako. I probably order takeout from this place one or twice every month since before covid. Over the years they refine the menu to focus on burgers, chicken, and subs. I have a few favorites like the po boy, cubano, French sub, firebird, creamy garlic chicken and the chicken box. Haha Lately I've been getting more into the specials like meatball, chopped cheese and the chicken parm subs. This past weekend was 3 kings chicken parm. That's the picture you are seeing. Cost vary in the $10 to $20 range, most $15 to $20 is typically. Parking is still the most challenging here. That's why I usually go on a Sunday where I can walk there. Mostly people will park at salt or h-mart parking garages. Both are free for the 1st hour. After that, you should purchase from the place and get validation to pay less. I recommend earls ever since they opened in kakaako, and now they have a Kapolei location...nice! Note during high traffic hours like lunch time, your sandwich order could be a long as 40 mins. Few times I ended up sitting outside by the health clinic because there is no room to wait nearby or inside. Other than that,...
