We live in MD & have gone to every bingsoo/snow cream place in the MD/VA area in the last 6 months. By far, this place has them beat. The flavors are definitely reflected in the Hawaiian & Asian influences here. They use all natural flavors so it tastes the way real fruits & chocolate are supposed to taste like...none of that artificial, syrupy flavoring. Their frost is by far the lightest & creamiest we've had...literally melting in your mouth like real snow. Both combined makes this a refreshingly light dessert that is just sweet enough to satisfy your need for any type of frozen dessert...especially if you want a break from the super syrupy taste of a shaved ice but not in the mood for gelato or ice cream. Those who are lactose intolerant may actually find this a good possible replacement as I haven't had any trouble eating it & have problems with milk products. You can taste the love they put in their product so try their combos which are not too flavors side by side but a combo of both frozen in one block & shaved to form a beautiful two tone creation. The chocolate haupia was like eating our favorite chocolate haupia pie in bingsoo form. And the watermelon lychee was a tropical dream. Team this product with a wonderfully helpful & upbeat staff & this makes it a place definitely worth going to over and over again to try all...
Read moreGreat place with an innovative type of Ice Cream - in a Neighbourhood that's slightly away from the center.
The place is run by a really friendly lady, who is helpfull and welcoming when it comes to choosing the ice cream. I had the Mango Snowice in a regular size. It was around 7 USD, but it was indeed a very large portion - and delicious. Never have I eaten something like this before, my world has truly been rocked.
One word of caution for unassuming tourists like myself - the walk from Waikiki beach is only 30 to 45 mins by foot, so it's easily reachable. However, do note that this is a very different area from the touristy paradise directly at the beach. On the way, you will pass roads with high amount of traffic, several groups of homeless people living in tents etc. This is not to say that I ever felt unsafe in the area - it's just to caution to walk perhaps a little less carefree, as you might tend to do in Kalakaua Avenue.

Read moreI liked this place, and the fact that I literally came 2 minutes before closing and they served me anyway. They let me finish my frosty in peace and I left 20 mins after closing, so awesome service. I chose a cookies and cream frosty, but I didn't know it came with toppings. I usually avoid all those add on bubbles and fruit stuff, but this time it actually tasted really good. I don't know what all the toppings were called, but I recognized the mochi squares and the pinapple triangles. The other two, small clear wedges and small orange, tapioca looking things, I have no idea what they were. They tasted good though. All the flavors blended nicely with the cookies and cream. I recommend this establishment, especially on nights when you're craving ice cream and the usual place is super crowded (as per usual). Also, they have tons of board games for customers to play with! And a fish tank with pretty gold fish. It was a nice...
