Hawaii Voice Karaoke — Restaurant in Honolulu

I’ve been a loyal customer since the old location on 808 Sheridan Street, and when it closed, my friend and I were really disappointed. We were excited to give this new location a chance and have visited 4–5 times in the past few months.

The first visit was great, my friend even left a 5-star review. The place was new, and the food was good. But after that, the experience has been nothing but inconsistent. Sometimes they’re open, sometimes they’re not. Sometimes the kitchen is available, sometimes it’s closed.

We’ve gone on weekdays when there were no other customers, yet there were 5–6 staff members who all looked out of it and surprised that we even showed up, even though we had reservations. They forgot our orders, and when we were ready to check out, the staff was nowhere to be found because they were all outside smoking.

To top it off, on our most recent visit, they charged us a 20% big party service charge, even though we only booked a small room for four people and only ordered water. They never charged us this fee on previous visits, so it felt completely random.

I’ve referred so many people to this place because of their great song selection, but the vibe and service are just off. Not sure if this place is still owned by Jack, but it’s definitely not the same. Moving forward, we’ll be going to Wave...

Wow wow wow what an amazing experience! Jason and his wife are absolutely phenomenal. Our first time visiting Hawaii and we were welcomed here with open arms.
