Gecko Girlz Shave Ice and Ice Cream Shop — Restaurant in Honolulu

They are located in a shopping plaza with limited parking space (roughly 25cars) but many stall were open on a Friday evening when we came.

Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Really great spot for shaved ice. We tried their lava flow and Kona sunset. They were both great. Mochi was big and chewy but soft. I usually don’t like them but this one is good with the perfect amount of sweetness not too much. The ice cream was rich and flavorful.

Lava flow: Great flavor combination. My highlight on this one was the haupia ice cream and strawberry puree with the kula strawberry. The sourness of the pineapple syrup breaks the sweetness.

Kona sunset: My favorite in our order. Waialua likikoi with the lilikoi puree really enhanced the whole flavor and takes it into another level.

I like the fact they provide straw to drink the melting part. They are environmental friendly with all their container. They also have 100%natural flavor, sugar free and dairy...

Greetings from Colorado! We were visiting town for a few days and stumbled upon this place close to where we were staying. So on Friday night, we tried the Lilikoi Sour. It was the BEST shave ice ever, so flavorful and fine snow! Just the right amount of Yuzu Citrus Sour Syrup, Lilikoi purée, and Li Hing Mui powder! Every bite was packed with sweet and sour sensations! The ice cream and mochi bars gave it a good transition.

The following day, we drove to The North Shore for some world famous M______ Shave Ice. Both my significant other and I thoroughly felt meh. The ice was coarser and flavors just seemed like an ordinary snow cone.

We drove back to Gecko Girlz later that evening and got a Kona Sunset. Both of us were in our happy place again. Keep doing what you’re doing! We can’t wait to visit O’ahu and your shop...

I didn’t know paradise was served in a cup until I came here. Whether you’re a fan of ice cream that melts like a dream or shaved ice so good it feels like a snow day in July, this place delivers!

The flavors are so creative they should have their own Netflix series, and the portions are generous enough to make even the sweetest tooth say, “Maybe I’ll save some for later” (spoiler: you won’t).

The staff? Absolute legends. Friendly, fast, and probably capable of whipping up world peace if you gave them a few scoops and a snow cone machine.

This is the kind of place you visit once and then plan your week around going back. Seriously, if happiness had a flavor, you’d find it here.
