Island Vintage Shave Ice — Restaurant in Honolulu

Not my first time here, but certainly will be my last. Walked in a couple days ago as I visit island frequently. My family and I had just returned from the Big Island and we stay at the marriott hotel every time and while it is convenient having this shaved ice, açaí, and coffee shop really close I would AVOID it. The service was terrible. There was a line and the two people making the shaved ice were chit chatting the whole time while we were waiting at least 15 minutes before they even decide to resume taking orders. Apart from the wait, the interior was dirty. Sticky tables everywhere!!! They should really invest in a mop of some sort since the floor always seems to be dark and have build up. And when the shaved Ice was finally ready they let it sit there and didn’t even call my name. I had to go up and ask about my order which irked the girl worker because she gave me a dirty look and bad attitude. Then they proceeded to tell me since I didn’t go up when they called my name I had to take the melted shave ice! I was in disbelief! They didn’t even offer to remake it. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. This location is AWFUL. VERY UNFRIENDLY STAFF AND HORRIBLE SHAVED ICE!

My family LOVES island vintage shaved ice. We have been getting it twice daily for the past three days. But please PLEASE save yourself a trip and do not go to this location!! I know there's no line compared to the kiosk, but there's a reason for that.

We've given this place two tries already. This is in comparison to their other location:

-Very skimpy (much less syrup) -They give about a third of the ice and don't pack it on. For that reason, it melts immediately!!!

My shaved ice was a bowl of goop 30 seconds after receiving it. I showed it to the worker, and simply asked for more ice. I did not ask her to recreate the bowl, just more ice please. She said she wasn't able to! After speaking to several more workers, they finally fulfilled my request. Ridiculous, given that their incompetence was why my shaved ice melted so quickly. The first worker even sighed after.

Terrible customer service. Decent Boba tea. I walk in and wait a few minutes by the counter before a guy behind the counter tells me I have to order using a computer. Guy finishes up what he's doing before disappearing completely into the back room for several minutes. No, "l'll be right with you" or "someone is coming soon to make your order." NOTHING. Comes back out to fulfill orders made AFTER mine and those customers get their order first. At some point a female employee comes out and makes my tea but doesn't call my name so I have no idea it's ready. After waiting a long time, guy makes eye contact and asks me what I ordered. I tell him I ordered a boba and the female tells me it's sitting on a different counter and acts surprised when I told her nobody told me it was ready. Yet they were calling everyone else's names (loudly) and I never left the restaurant to not hear my name being called. Waited a very long time for one tea in a mostly empty restaurant....
