This was a very good find. Found out about this restaurant off Instagram. Parking was good. There is a handful of stalls in the back of the restaurant. There’s two entrances to the restaurant. One on the street side and one on the back parking side. It has a very cute and minimalist design. There is a main dining area, a bar, sushi bar and what appeared to be a separate party room. In the main dining area you have regular tables and high top tables.

We were greeted by staff pretty quickly and seated with 730 pm reservations. There were still a few tables open so not the end of the world if you don’t make reservations. There was quite a bit to choose from on the menu. Once we ordered, it took approx 15 minutes for food to start coming out. In the mean time we did have some edamame to munch on.

The food looked great. We had the sashimi platter and the sashimi was cut nice and thick. There was four pieces of each type and you could taste the freshness. I had the ahi belly and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My girlfriend had the sushi roll and it did throw us off at first as we were expecting a traditional roll, however, this did not disappoint. It was really delicious and crunchy. There was some heat in this with the sriracha drizzle but nothing a little water can’t take care of.

The waiters did take care of us throughout the dinner. There are also tvs all around the restaurant to occupy you. All in all, a very delicious...

I never left a one star rating before, but I guess there's a first for everything, so here goes. After reviewing the reviews of this place, I found that others, while not many, had a similar experience with the lackluster service. Pro tip: unless you are a regular here, DO NOT sit at the bar. I repeat, UNLESS YOU ARE A REGULAR CUSTOMER HERE, DO NOT SIT AT THE BAR. I came to meet a friend and was not greeted with a welcome as they normally do. It was half full and not too busy. I sat by my friend and in the span of 10 minutes 3 employees passed by me and served other patrons but did not acknowledge me once. I understand if you are busy as I work with people too in my profession, but at least acknowledge your customer and let them know that you will help them when you can. Moments later, a regular sat right beside me and immediately they were catered to, all the while ignoring my presence. It wasn't until a few minutes later that another employee finally asked if I had been helped. I understand you like to cater to your regulars, but you would do better to treat every customer equally and potentially make...

This is a really nice place! Sushi platters from other pics look fantastic, but I came for the mackerel (my favorite). While it's not shioyaki, the soy sauce or whatever salty sauce they provided did the trick and it was tasty, flaky, and oily just how I like it ^^ Absolutely cannot beat the price! Flight of sake also extremely good and great price! 10/10 would absolutely recommend. Take friends here! Very nice interior, clean, friendly, spacious. Like a family restaurant combined with a bar. Saw some tables that were reserved...not sure if it's necessary but heads up if you have a group or coming well after opening. Also heard they...

I do miss the original place on Kapahulu. This location is a decent place. Overall the decor has always deterred me. The space, decor and color scheme just doesn't seem inviting. Just doesn't match but don't let that deter you. Menu is nice, service very friendly but inconsistent. Sushi boat is nice but not a wow factor. Seems like you could only eat the wagyu beef as there weren't any other beef selections listed. Tried to ask sushi chef questions but they were very focused on what was in front of them. Overall, food is good but didn't fascinate. I will try and give it another look one day. Spent $600+ but just didn't perceive the value.
