Cane's is normally a great place to eat. Having lived in Texas for several years, I was very familiar with the brand. The food was fairly spot on when it first opened and I often saw what looked like a corporate manager ensuring the quality even when it was busy. This is why it was so surprising to me when I walked into a fairly empty store with dirty tables everywhere. There wasn't much of a line. However, as an older gentleman was stepping up because he was next in the queue, the waitress in a very rude tone bushed him a side and called forward the young man behind him. For some reason they had already had his order made and brought him forward to pay for this meal. The waitress and the customer seemed to be friendly. Naturally, the older gentleman was upset. He had waited his turn in line. When he asked to see the manager, the waitress replied that she was a manager, when he asked to speak to her superior she told hikm no and that she would do three times, finally the after throughly disrespecting the gentleman and she turned and tapped another employee who said she was the store manager. She listen to the upset man for all of about 20 seconds before literally laughing in his face and saying "okay whatever". This throughly upset me. Even though I am a young college age male, I have often told many my kapuna clients and coworkers about my overall positive view of the store. The customer service and state of the store was completely unacceptable for the Cane's brand. Due to the incident in line, I started paying attention and watched how the store was being ran. For the hour I was there, not one table was bussed, with the store being less than a quarter full and large food debris present on most of the tables. I even had to give me table a McDonald's treatment and wipe it off with a couple napkins. I have NEVER had to do this at a Cane's before even in the middle of a major rush. I thought maybe this was just because they were short staffed. I have worked fast food. I have even been a shift runner. I know how it is. However, that doesn't seem to be the case either as when the employee who laughed in the elder gentleman's face had a man bring food for her into the store herself and three employees went over and chat for no less than 7 mins. All of this while there is still a dirty store front.
I truly hope that something is done about this. If I see this type of behavior again in this store, not only will I stop coming to the store and advise any clients away from your store to ensure that they don't have their faces laughed in.
Update: Having returned several times now, whatever issue that seemed to have happened in the management of this site seems to have been resolved. The staff is once again friendly and helpful and the store is back to being...

My stepson and I came into your establishment 4-1-23 an hour ago. He ordered his food, I paid with my phone, which died after. Realizing we cannot access the car because the phone unlocks it, and we were in dire need of a minute or two of charging. I approached the counter seeking help, the lady came up and served two other ppl that came. Ok thatās ok I was standing to the side. I told her what I was needing she called another lady who despite relying my story and showing her my stepson eating at the table - they both said they did not have a phone charger. God led us out of there and directly to an area where we saw someone who again I told what had happened. Let me state here I am a black educator here in Hawaii- two degrees in Special Eduaction and working on my PhD, I have not reason to lie on to these people at all. So as I approached the man I said my story and despite a bit of resistance he was love and assisted us with getting the phone charged to be on our way. The only reason we came to this side of town was because this is what he wanted to eat after skate class at Proper Ride Shop. I told the man the ladies at raising caneās no one had a charger - and his response was - any it may be true or not but I will make the point to teach a lesson: he stated they do, they just donāt have love. That made me tear up, it hit me hard and it was true. For someone to come to you desperate in need and even if you do not have to be cold as you guys were and to not even show and once of care and ALOHA, it is painfully tragic the world we live in. I am sorry for all the pain and lies you have endured to view all āpeopleā as unworthy of love. For the Bible says to be your brotherās keeper, and above all LOVE! what I experienced at your establishment is a lack of aloha and not know how to be your brotherās keeper. We are all one people- different flavors it is we āmanā who have created our own division amongst ourselves, quick to judge others based on their physical. Itās like the people who would step over the homeless, not even look In their direction, or offer help to the needy. Kindly train your staff to but their biases and prejudices aside and to above all lead in love. Be love! Donāt just judge ppl by appearance - skin deep- seen how shallow this is, how ignorant it is, who uneducated this is?

Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat can I say, it's Raising Cane's. I was first introduced to them when loving in Vegas and I fell in love. I then lived in Portland and they eventually opened one there so there I was again eating more Raining Cane's. I think it has just become something nostalgic at this point so when we moved to Oahu and I randomly drive by one that was right down the street from our apartment I had to get it, so that I did, for dinner. I unfortunately feel like it has gone from OMG I want more, to just okay. It got the job done but I feel like it's just not as good as it was when I first had it (like 10+ years ago and on the mainland).
The bread, which I typically looked forward to, was toasted but soft in a not enjoyable way in the middle. The fries seemed like they could have been cooked a little longer to get them crispy but the chicken was good. Now, I do love both their sweet tea and lemonade and the tea seemed the exact same as on the mainland and I do enjoy their dipping sauce. All in all its a decent spot to grab a bite but nothing I'm going out of my way for.
You can order ahead using their app, which I would suggest doing because although they did a perty good job keeping the line moving, there was quite a line and I was there probably like 15 minutes from entering and waiting in line to leaving with my food to go.
Parking was tricky but probably just because I'm new to town. Google maps got me there but I had to circle the area twice to figure out where I could park. Take the right at the light before hitting Canes and you'll find a parking lot on your left for other stores. Park there, then you can walk up the block to get to Cane's. I'm sure for nostalgic purposes I'll be back every...
