Special Thank You to Sarah at Alexa's Creperie in Hot Springs, Arkansas!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Alexa's Creperie, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, Sarah greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel right at home. It was only me dining that day, but Sarah ensured that my experience was nothing short of exceptional.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the Crepe with Mushroom and Smoked Salmon on the side. I must admit, I was intrigued by the combination of flavors, and it did not disappoint. The crepe itself was perfectly thin and had a lovely golden hue. The texture was light and airy, which made it an ideal vessel for the delightful filling.
The mushrooms were sautéed to perfection, exuding a rich earthy aroma that instantly awakened my taste buds. Each bite was a delightful blend of tender mushrooms and the subtle smokiness of the salmon. The combination of flavors was harmonious, and the crepe acted as a canvas, allowing the ingredients to shine through.
The presentation of the dish was also impressive. The crepe was beautifully folded, revealing the enticing filling, while the smoked salmon on the side added an extra touch of elegance. The attention to detail was evident, and it made the dining experience all the more enjoyable.
Aside from the exceptional food, the service at Alexa's Creperie was top-notch. Sarah's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu made me feel well taken care of. She provided excellent recommendations and ensured that every aspect of my meal was perfect. Her genuine enthusiasm for the cuisine and dedication to customer satisfaction truly shone through.
The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with soft lighting and comfortable seating. It was the perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner, Alexa's Creperie provides a charming atmosphere that adds to the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, my visit to Alexa's Creperie was nothing short of delightful. The Crepe with Mushroom and Smoked Salmon on the side was a true culinary masterpiece, with its perfect balance of flavors and exquisite presentation. Sarah's exceptional service and the cozy ambiance further enhanced the experience. I highly recommend Alexa's Creperie to anyone visiting Hot Springs, Arkansas, for a memorable...
Read moreAvoid, avoid, avoid! We came here with some friends and the owner was freaking out. I guess he's not used to a lot of people coming because he certainly didn't know how to handle it. He was literally guarding tables afraid a party of two would sit at a table for four. He was quite rude and even shouted an announcement at the whole place. Even though it was breakfast time, we were told we couldn't order breakfast because they had too many orders in the kitchen. It was like I was in some bad comedy reality show.
I would have been more adventurous and spent more money but I don't reward rudeness. So I settled for a simple cup of mediocre coffee.
Simply put, it's been a long time since I've felt so stressed trying to eat at a restaurant.
Would I go back? Certainly not. I don't put up with rudeness and the coffee wasn't that great. I make better coffee at home.
Update: I walked out after I wrote this review but my family and friends were still inside. The owner read the review and went over and started shouting at my family and friends in front of the whole restaurant. "This is a family business! Don't you know what bad reviews do to a place like this?" Yes I do! That's why I leave reviews so others can avoid absolutely horrendous places like this.
Reply To Owner: First of all, you obviously don't know who I am in spite of your control freak tendencies. You and I never had the conversation you discussed in your reply. I don't doubt you had that conversation with another one of your patrons but it wasn't me.
I rarely complain in a restaurant. I don't like controversy so I just move on. And I'm certainly not going to engage with someone like yourself who has anger issues. Even your reply to me on Google...
Read moreWow! The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy. And the food is phenomenal. I would go back just for the Pyzy everyday if I could! The homemade red sauce made from “vine ripened Roma tomatoes” is so good I want to bring a bowl of cooked pasta and have them sauce it up for me! Seriously you gotta try the Pyzy! Next I tried the pierogies. I wanted to try the potato or the spinach one but they were sold out by noon so next time I’ll have to call ‘em in. The one that was left was Grandmas Cheese Poerogie and while the texture and presentation was wonderful, the palate just wasn’t my style. I just haven’t found a cheese dumpling covered in cinnamon with sour cream to dip it in that I like- it’s definitely my taste buds because Grandmas know what they are doing :) As far as the crepes go, had to try a sweet and savory of course! The savory is always my go to for flavor but the sweet one was delicious (Alexa’s Favorite on the menu). I really appreciated the savory one as it had cheddar, spinach and grilled chicken in it. The chicken was a little dry for my taste but had a good grilled flavor I appreciated. Next time I want to try one with mushrooms as the protein because you can’t go wrong with a good savory shroom. All in all, I am so happy I tried this place and that the atmosphere is so lovely. You almost feel like you are in a cafe across the world, letting the daily hustle of the day just disappear for the moment while you enjoy some phenomenal European food you don’t see in this town. Can’t wait to go back, I want all...
