Special thanks to On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina in Hot Springs, Arkansas for providing my brother and me with a delightful dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and excellent service. Our server, Elizabeth, was attentive and ensured that we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our visit.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show - the Grilled Steak Fajitas. These fajitas were a true delight for the senses. The sizzling sound as they arrived at our table immediately captured our attention. The aroma of the perfectly seasoned steak filled the air, making our mouths water in anticipation. The steak itself was tender and flavorful, cooked just right to create a satisfying dining experience. Each bite offered a juicy and succulent taste that was thoroughly enjoyable. Accompanied by a colorful array of peppers and onions, the fajitas provided a harmonious blend of flavors. The tortillas were soft and pliable, allowing us to create delicious wraps bursting with the rich flavors of the steak and vegetables. The portion size was generous, leaving us feeling satisfied and content.
Additionally, my brother insisted that we try the Sopapillas, despite me not being a big dessert person. However, these Sopapillas pleasantly surprised me. The traditional Mexican pastries were fried to a golden crisp and delicately dusted with cinnamon and sugar. As I took a bite, the combination of the crispy exterior and the fluffy interior created a delightful texture. The subtle sweetness of the Sopapillas, coupled with the honey drizzle, added just the right touch to end our meal on a high note. Even for someone like me who isn't typically drawn to desserts, these Sopapillas were a pleasant treat.
I was grateful for my brother's recommendation, and our server, Elizabeth, enhanced our dining experience with her attentive and friendly service. She made sure our needs were met and provided helpful suggestions throughout the meal.

Read moreI see a lot of negative feedback on this particular location in Hot Springs, AR & I know why!!! My mother have not eaten here in years & wanted to go since it had been so long. The 1st impression was the lady at the front seating people (she does not belong in this job); no hello & that attitude of "come on so I can get you seated", then no look from her or response when I made a point to acknowledge her on the way out. She portrayed the attitude of "I really don't want to be here." She seated us in the bar section, which is limited seating & seemed everyone that came in was put there (too close to too many ppl for my disorder); 11:30 a.m. & expected more business going in & stayed very slow for about the 1 1/2 hours total we were there, which I found strange for lunch time. The bar tender was having to serve alcohol and take care of a full section on his own (Great guy!). The salsa was way too spicy, the chips are deep fried on site & half of a tortilla shell, which we found out after getting through the top layer that the chips below were full of grease. Plus they SALT THE HELL OUTTA THEIR CHIPS!! (If I want salt on them, there are salt shakers on the table; don't eat these if you can't eat a lot of salt.) As we sat waiting for food, I watched the same lady at the front seating people; she or a coworker had dropped a wrapped set of utinsels on the floor which laid there for 10 min., & then she picked them up & put them in with the clean ones!!.. Now we have food (burrito & chimicanga w/ ground beed). The meat inside was so spicy & it tasted like Chili, not what I expected for our choice of meal. We won't be back even if they offered it...
