A&W Restaurants — Restaurant in Hot Springs

I will never go back there again. The customer service was horrible, the staff was rude. We walked in and one of the employees yelled at a lady employee that she had customers up front and her reply was So I am busy. Which upset the other employee because he had to take care of us. The fries were ice cold and I had to ask for fresh fries. Our Cheeseburgers were also cold and so dry that the cheese wouldn't even stick to the burger. I watched another customer take her fries back up there and the male employee took the fries and put them back in the fry warmer and asked the other employee for cheese curds. I am so confused on why the employees were not in proper uniforms and how the place could be understaffed. There were 4 employees and the place only had 4 customers in the lobby. there was nobody in drive through. When we started out of the place my daughter made a comment that we should have went to Dave's burgers across the street instead and your employee say bye have a good day with an attitude. My suggestion in the employees need to be retrained in customer service and food quality and how to properly dress for work or hire a whole new staff. Being in the fast food busy since I was 14 I would never be able to serve food to a customer that I would not eat. And since the pandemic putting food that a customer brings back is not to be put back to be resold it should have been...

The only reason A&W gets 1 star from me is because I'm not able to give them anything lower. This was my 1st trip to this A&W restaurant and it will DEFINITELY be my last. My wife and I thought we'd take the grandchildren (3 & 2yrs old) to get ice cream, and this is where we ultimately decided to go. So after driving all the way across town from Lake Hamilton, we arrive approximately 10 minutes before closing (completely unaware that they close at 8 on Sunday). We're immediately told that we can't eat inside because they're closing...we can only order to go. Now I would never go into any restaurant to order that close to closing intentionally...because I know that the employee's are usually eager to get off..and I don't want to hinder that progress. But we were both a little shocked to be told that we could only order to go...but we shook it off and decided to order anyway. So, while looking over our options on the menu, we were then told that we weren't able to order anything because the ice cream products have been put away. The whole experience was enough for me to decide that I'll never even try to spend another...

My daughter went through drive thru, and got back home with our food. We live 20 minutes away as going through the bag I noticed over half of our order was missing and looked at receipt and got charged for all of it and three more combos and extra fries I did not order. My total was $62.00 when it should of been $25.00. When I went in there the employees didn't know what they were doing and the manager was sitting down in a booth scrolling through her phone and not helping them. I waited 30 more minutes for food to be cooked and got some of my money back. The restaurant is not clean! We will never go back! Upper management needs to take control. I'm really surprised they are not closed down already. They charged me for all the coneys when it should of been buy one and get one on Tuesday. What a let down for a Hot Springs establishment.
