Waffle House — Restaurant in Hot Springs

We went there because we needed to get in & out inexpensively so my husband could start his bicycle ride. When we arrived they were quite busy & there was one table (not near the kitchen) free, but it hadn’t been cleaned off. We went ahead & sat down to wait, but no one ever came. I mean there was food everywhere, an empty Skoal container & Skoal particles all over the plates & table. Another table came free, but it was right by the kitchen. They cleaned that one off, but another couple sat down there & their order was quickly taken…while we continued to sit at the gross table. After about 15 mins a server came our way & I managed to make eye contact with her. She said it was going to be awhile & I asked if we could just get the table cleaned. She repeated that it was going to be awhile…we got up to leave. As we were leaving, she was angrily screeching out some sort of excuse at us. I understand being busy & I wouldn’t have minded waiting, but I did expect the table to be cleaned & not to be yelled at. All things considered, it was a good thing this happened because Phil’s Family Restaurant was shoutin distance away, it was adorable, so was our server & the food was tasty & inexpensive.

I really don’t know why we keep expecting a Waffle House to be any different than they always are, the reputation never...

Let me start off by saying that I never wright negative reviews on anywhere I go but this one I had to. We are in Hot Spring for the first time from Louisiana and I’m In shock. We go into this place and sit down then a girl(Chloe) walks up to us like she’s having a horrible day n asks if we want to order to which my husband says I’ll take a large coffee I said me to. She rolled her eyes and stormed off then started talking to another worker about us. We asked her if there was a problem and she said “ well I asked yall a question n yall ignored it and when someone asks a question people typically answer it”. Now mind you we just wanted our coffee first. Then she went behind the counter and continues to talk about us to the other worker. She was unreal rude n completely unprofessional and honestly shouldn’t even be allowed to work in the public….. she had the worst attitude I’ve ever seen. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It just puts a bad taste in my mouth with Hot Springs. Just because she is miserable does not mean she can act like that to people.

I have never experienced this type of nastiness in all the places...

I have enjoyed the hospitality of this waffle House many times. Waffle House restaurants have a reputation of being the scene of all kinds of bad behavior amongst Gods more careless children. Well I will not comment on all of that. And deny any involvement in such behavior. There's nothing but good people that work. You will get your order and it will be to your taste and you get to watch them prepare it. I have nothing but good to say for these good folks. I don't think anybody who likes what's on their menu to be anything less than what they paid for. I have never not enjoyed anything i have eaten. And anyone can eat there but I always want to just stay there. But they don't allow that. However I can't deny they are very generous and kind people. Maybe I guess u have been hanging around there too much. Suffice to say I recommend This particular waffle House some other waffle Houses are not on that list. It's a safe bet if the others just had to train their staff at this place the profit would be earned by the things they got in the training.
