It is surprising to me that this place has such a high rating. They must be doing something right, but damned if I know what it is. The service is okay, they get credit for that, but the food is very much like cafeteria food. You would be familiar with the style from high school, hospitals, or jail/prison. Twice I tried the Hot Beef Sandwich, just trying to be fair because everyone has an off day. You get two thin slices of bread, a few pieces of gray, gamey beef, and about 3 pounds of mashed potatoes. No seasoning, but drowned in brown gravy from a can. What the f yo? I can do better cleaning out the pantry. Also, for a place with "bakery" in the name I expect a lot more than a tiny little selection below the cash register. Go to Roy's Bakery instead and thank me later. The place: Diner vibes. There’s a counter with stools and the whole place maybe seats 30 people. The front counter sells baked goods, I could imagine coming in for some bread and eat it on the sidewalk.

The location: Easy to park, not far from a public parking lot.

The food: Incredible. I’ve never had a Finnish custard baked pancake (I can’t recall the spelling, oops) but I had one here! It was pumpkin and I stole some raspberry preserves from my friend—so good. The consistency was beautiful and the flavor was delicate. The omelette Spousifer had was also fabulous, the broccoli was very fresh!

The service: Our server was the only person taking care of the whole place, so she seemed a little harried, but she was super sweet. The experience felt very homey to me.

Ive been going here since i was a lil girl n im 34now, sooooo yah eh, my ma Sandra LaPeer jad worked there 4ovr 20yrs, in her last yrs she was head cook n she retired there 2!! Best n most favorites: Biscuits n Gravy, Blueberry Pancakes, Raspberry Turnovers, Finnish FrenchToast(made w/nissu bread), The Chili, mmmmm, anyway, also The Soumi Burger/The Blackbean Burger, The Club Sandwich, And also The Pannukaku W/Raspberry Sauce, It's Fantastic HOT OR COLD EVERY1!! NO JOKE, I GREW UP HERE, N OH ALSO THEIR RECENTLY ADDED IDEA IN LAST FEW YRS. WAS THE PASTY SLIDERS!!!! THEY OUTDID THEMSELVES W/THAT!!!!
