**Updated. My original review is below. The owner reached out and offered a solution to avoid future confusion and store credit to remedy the situation.

1-star: Brought electric guitar in for set up- as this was a kit guitar I knew there were major issues with the nut, frets, and neck. I specified a labor/skill cost of $100-$150 and to call if the work exceeded that range. It did. But I didn’t receive a call. Somewhere along the line the tech was told the price range was $150-$200. I’m not accusing anyone of making this mistake, but a mistake was made.

I was frustrated. I made this Frustration clear to the shop owner, that i did not agree to the amended price range and that I wasn’t notified of the extra work. I agreed to pay the $209 charge and did NOT ask for a refund or price reduction. All I wanted was an acknowledgment that this wasn’t an acceptable business practice and a mistake was made. Period. That did not happen.

The owner was very defensive. I understand they wanted to protect their employees, but he acted as if I was in the wrong and they were the victim. Even going so far as to say “…if I had a kit guitar I wouldn’t even bring it in…I would have tried to fix it myself.” What?! He was judging me for giving work to HIS business (remember, I agreed to pay the entire bill.) he refused to apologize, refused to acknowledge that a mistake was made, and had the audacity to judge and insult my decision to have my guitar worked on at HIS business.

Bought strings, picks, and had my Ibanez serviced by Good Times. Couldn't be more satisfied with the prices and outstanding customer service.
