Barely made the four star. 3.5 more accurately and that because the food is not terrific. It's not bad "bar food" by any means, but it's not great or memorable. The most noteworthy, so far, is the plate of in-house cut and fried "potato chips." Note here though, you may want to ask for them to be completely cooked as they have tended to be under-cooked for us. Skip the brisket, it is very dry and you will always need to ask for more barbecue sauce (this is thin and interesting); it is too lean for brisket and far from tender. The pulled pork might be a better choice...maybe. The venue is worth the ticket with some Karaoke times and a stage that will impress everyone. Sat down at the bar next to two of my friends. We were the only ones at the bar and the rest of the spaces were dirty dishes. The bartender ignored my presence and went to pushing buttons on the screen with her back to us. The manager (not Julie, it was a young skinny guy) was directly in front of me and he chose to peel limes instead of asking if I wanted a drink and a menu. I sat in that situation for a few minutes before raising my voice (so the bartender at the screen could hear me) and saying, “can I get a menu?” Service was marginal after that. Didn’t ask if I wanted another drink. Didn’t refill my water. Had to ask the manager to cash me out instead of doing busy work at the end. Found this place on Google Maps when we were driving back across the UP to our cabin. Decided to stop because they were open late. Girl up front said she didn't know how to take orders, and to bare with her, so we did. No problem. Order was put in and we got our food promptly. Kudos to these folks, because we know we ordered late and they still served us. We had a 4hr drive ahead of us and were grateful to have a hot meal. And the food was delicious, can't speak for the drinks though. Hard to find a menu online so we had to order inside, they don't even have a phone number listed. This place takes card and cash.
