Passive aggressive behavior: I request for my Singapore Fried Rice not to be made too spicy and at first they were making it perfect. Perfect amount of curry powder, level of spice, saltiness. Then one time I put the same instructions and what I received was the spiciest version of their dish I ever received. As in the coloring of the noodles was so dark I could tell they added extra spice (now I know it was extra curry). Almost as if it were deliberate. Or the cook just got too heavy handed with the curry that day. Either way I couldn’t even finish it (I’m west African, I’m very good with spice. That’s how I know it was way too much if I’m actually complaining) So this Sunday I ordered again and straight up put “not spicy” to hopefully counteract any possible extra spiciness they might add. I received my order and the noodles were completely white — because they put zero curry powder at all this time. Not curry, no salt, nothing. I was literally so flabbergasted I just stared at the plate for a second. I got dressed to drive up there myself and ask for it to be remade but decided to call to give them a heads up. The man on the phone immediately starts saying “it’s because you said no spicy” without me saying who I was. And I responded “so your solution was to make an order completely devoid of any color or seasoning??” After he began getting defensive and arguing back and forth I decided I just wanted a refund when I arrived (I don’t trust restaurants with my food anymore after they get argumentative with me like that). He said I had to go through the vendor (whole time I thought I was buying directly from them), so I sat there and called Beyond Menu and made them refund me before I even left the store. Heard them call him to verify and everything. I could have just kept the food at that point, but me leaving it was intentional. You used labor to make this food, made it poorly, now you’re out of the money for the food AND the food gotta go in the trash now. Actions = clear consequences. Now on Uber Eats, it indicates this meal is spicy but it gives the option for non-spicy (see pic). I order directly from their site since delivery is free, but there is no option to request non-spicy so I just type it into the instructions because I assumed it it’s okay on Uber Eats it’s okay on their site. I know some places can get annoyed with changes to traditional dishes. If me requesting less spicy was such an issue, I would have assumed they not give the option at all the request non-spicy. Or they could have just made it at their normal spice level and sent it along. Completely removing all seasoning was purposeful and spiteful. They need to take the option out because I can only imagine what uber eats customers are receiving if they select non-spicy. It sucks because I genuinely enjoyed the food (when made right). Dumplings are amazing and I discovered Chinese eggplants through them. But eating out is way too expensive now to deal with poor service like that. I legit went home and cooked so I guess thanks for the push. Just off principle, I cannot patronize this establishment anymore. It’s not like my lack of business is gonna hurt their bottom line or anything. They’ll probably continue receiving new customers and won’t lose any old ones. I just wanted it to be known (and documented) what y’all did was incredibly distasteful.

This place has hit or miss items. The fried sticks go great with sugar like a funnel cake or with sauce and your food items. Very diverse don't knock it til you try it! The wonton soup made my wife say" this is the best wonton soup I've ever had" while also saying"I've had better general tso's" the crab puffs are the second best I've had so surely worth eating. Steamed chicken dumplings were made well and in my opinion tastes better with their green sauce. Overall this restaraunt is worth justifying for a simple And not to price meal with a casual atmosphere and great natural lighting. I would go back every so often just for a simple bite. And if you ask the waiter had no problem taking you a word or 2 in their language. I love being able to share a word from a different language cause they treat you better and go out of their way to help solve problems if they arise. If it was not for the top quality and poor quality food 5 stars would be appropriate but the top quality makes up for the poor foods.

I wish I could give 0 stars!!! Terrible customer service! I work downstairs and usually get the lunch special on my lunch break and I love their food. Today I went and I told the lady I would like the orange chicken lunch special that always get. The lady asked do you want crispy I said idk no one has ever asked me that before. And I showed my bank statements saying this is how much I usually pay She said the orange chicken crispy is more. I said I dont mind paying more but I still dont know if that's what I get. She said my bank statements said that I get general toso I let her know I've never had that Another lady comes and she says very rude to me you dont know what u ordered. I said ma'am I come here alot I've never had anyone ask me if I want crispy.i then got my food after the lady being rude said yes the bank statements I have are the non crispy ones so I'm like ok awesome. And my food comes I see a reduced price and I ask if I can see the food before I sign so I can make sure it's the right one. Well its not the lady who hasnt been rude then gets very confrontational towards me. She says well now I have to throw it away. I told her I'm srry I've never had this way before and the lady said my bank statements show that. I didn't argue she had her hand on my food and was very mad that she had to waste it I told her well I'll try it. I signed and left. I got to work took a bite and it was horrible. I talked to my coworkers who said I should of got my food right but I was trying to be kind. I decide I cant eat this. I go upstairs and the lady who was rude first yells at me and says you dont know what u want. And goes over to another order and pulls out the food and says I show u !! And I'm kinda like ok i just walk over and i said yea ma'am that is what I usually get. She says this is crispy I said well ok but like I said no one has ever asked me crispy or not she is shaking her head at me no the entire time I talk. I told her I just want the crispy and then the other lady sees me and she tells the rude lady no just let her get her food. I say thank u and the lady is still saying this is my fault cause I dont know what I want or order I finally got mad and said excuse me I've been nothing but kind I've referred yall to all my co workers downstairs as well and I dont wven want your food now I just want a refund and that I will not be coming back. They said I should receive my refund in 2 or 3 days. I'm soo upset because i love their culture of food. This was very disappointing and took my hour of...

I have been coming here for close to 15 years , the food is consistent , tasty , delicious ,hits the spot, the service is kind and welcoming .

I looked at the other reviews , and I also feel guilty for not having submitted one sooner. I want to preface this review , with the fact that I AM NOT affiliated with this restaurant , I have just been a loyal customer.

So let's talk about the negative reviews , all of these people had an issue , with the exception of may be two , didn't advise the staff , went home and wrote an angry review .

They didn't provide an opportunity for the restaurant to make up for a short coming or someone ordering something they thought they might like and hated it because it wasn't what they expected. Now I didn't go through every review , but this is based solely on what I skimmed over.

There was one saying " it's late do we have time to eat ?" , if you have to ask , then , yes, it is too late , because you're not holding up just the server , the whole restaurant has to wait for you , those dirty dishes don't magically clean themselves , neither does floor clean itself.

So , if you take them up on that , be considerate of their time , order fast , eat fast and be glad you didn't have to cook , clean or lift a finger to fill your stomach. I also , would like to mention , if you think they are racist and that's why they were hurrying you , but not the white couple that had already eaten , that is extremely tacky . Restaurant's only care about one color , green , because it pays the bills and allows them to fight another day .

So , as I have said in other reviews , all of you need to chill on stomping down on these native restaurants , who sacrifice more than you can even imagine to keep the...
