I give this coffee shop three stars. It’s not bad, but I liked the one that was here before much better. The best feature is still the patio, which is a nice spot to sit outside with a drink. The atmosphere is fine, but the way they handle WiFi is what really takes away from the experience.
They do offer free WiFi, but it’s not really free. You have to enter your receipt number and the total just to unlock 90 minutes of access. After that, you need to buy something else if you want more time. This is a hassle, especially because so many people pay with tap now and don’t automatically get a printed receipt. I had to go back and ask the cashier for one, which felt unnecessary. Most other coffee shops in the area offer WiFi with no strings attached, and that makes a big difference if you want to work for a couple of hours without being interrupted.
The drinks themselves are solid. The coffee is decent, and the staff was friendly enough. If you just want to grab a to-go cup on your way somewhere, this place does the job. But if you’re planning to stay and work, study, or hang out for a while, the WiFi policy makes it less appealing. With plenty of other coffee shops nearby that provide a better experience without the hoops, I probably wouldn’t choose to stay here for an extended...
Read moreLOVE this place. Cozy. Modern. As the name implies: coffee drinks and wine selection, plus some light pastries for your coffees, lattes, teas, Mexican cokes, etc. An old Heights bungalow home, turned into a modern coffee shop.
PROS: Clean, ambiance, respectful and respectable patrons, fine service / staff, indoor and outdoor patio seating, restrooms and yes.... GReat coffee. A very good work or study place. Also for gathering w friends, business people or even your Hot date. Two areas that resemble a living room set-up for confabbing.
CONS: parking is limited: 3 slots infront and maybe 12 slots behind the coffee shop but this is to be expected in many Heights...
Read moreLoved my visit to CaffVino in the Heights! The baristas were so friendly and even remembered my name when I left—such a cozy, welcoming touch.
The sausage croissant was flaky and delicious, the almond croissant was incredible with rich almond paste, and the Americano hit the spot. The iced matcha was a bit too milky for me, but easily fixable by asking for more matcha.
Plenty of outlets, calm work vibes, and I love the coffee shop + wine bar concept (no laptops in the wine area after 6 PM). Clean restrooms and charming Heights bungalow feel.
Parking was easy—spots in front and extra in the back. I came during a quiet hour (10–2 PM) and had no issues.
Definitely a spot...
