El Pollo Loco — Restaurant in Houston

I just went there to get take out and it was a VAST disappointment. I remembered this place used to be good now it’s really awful. The chicken was old, hard and as you can see in the pictures dry as hell, the rice was mushy, overcooked and flavorless, the mashed potatoes was BY FAR THE WORST THING MY FAMILY AND I HAVE TASTED. I work in a restaurant and I know when somebody messed up or when I’m being served old food. I tried calling and when I asked for a manager the guy who answered responded with “whaddaya need” very dismissive, when I told what had happened he made excuses and told me everything was fresh, like I said I’m a manager at a restaurant i know good food and I would never answer a phone call the way this guy did. After i explained and he made excuses and pretty much calling me a liar he said again “whaddaya need” and I got frustrated and disconnected the call. After this it’s pretty evident why the restaurant was completely desolate and after thinking about it it has been every time I drove by it. It was 10 minutes before closing time (8:50pm sing says they close at 9:00pm) I was standing at drive-thru speaker for about 4 min no one asked to take my order so I decided to go place my order at the window, to my surprise there was 2 guys and a lady one guy was cleaning, the lady was at the front register with no customers on site, and the guy that was supposed to be at the window completely ignored me here I am seating in my car staring at the window waiting for the guy to come take my order or to come say "hey we're closed" anything would have been okay but no he actually decided to ignore me and eat in front of the drive thru window instead. I understand it was close to closing time but in my opinion whether it is 1 minute or 2hrs until closing time the places should be open until the exact time it's posted to be open. Lastly if they want to go ahead and close before the estated closing hour that would also be okay but please do not ignore people just open the window and say "I'm sorry we're closed" and please eat in y'all "designated eating area" Thank you very much! Location in Houston, TX at 1108 Silber Rd 77055 is charging a higher price on some menu items than what reflects on the in-store & drive thru menus. Manager stated some prices went up in the system but has not been changed on the menu for customers to see. Ongoing issue for 3 months. Today inside with a side order and 3 months ago in drive thru with a chicken bowl. Today I requested a price adjustment for what I saw on the menu or give me a churro for the $2 over charge. The manager refused and stated that's what their system charges for the food items I ordered. I then requested a full refund of my $20 order. How is it a customer fault that your system and menu does not coincide? We order food items also based on price, so this is 100% unacceptable. I can't believe your management would even let a statement like that come out of their mouth. Very unprofessional and this is also false advertisement. I'll also report to the Better Business Bureau as well as all social media platforms. My family and I will not be returning to El Pollo Loco. I felt very discriminated...
