Nick The Greek — Restaurant in Kingwood

10/10 Delicious! We were looking for a late dinner and found Nick the Greek. Everything was absolutely yummy. First night we ordered via drive-thru and chose a falafel gyro, Nick’s fries w/chicken, and a baklava slice. YUM! Everything was hot and fresh, the fries were ALL tossed in seasoning and the yummy chicken, feta, and toppings were layered throughout. A nice distribution is important to me and they nailed it! Presentation also 10/10 sturdy containers. Portion size was generous and I had leftovers. The second night (tonight) (we were in the area near hospital—great location by the way) and we decided to return. I’d already eaten my leftovers this morning and wanted more. I chose a chicken gyro combo (you can get a loaded Nick’s Fries as a side, perfection!) and a side of falafel. We also added a small tzatziki sauce and spicy yogurt with the gyro and fries. The falafel was hot, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside and wonderfully flavorful. To top it off, the soda was crisp! and strong. Friendly and wonderful service both nights! Let me tell you we will definitely be coming back anytime we are nearby. Great location for anyone who works in the area. For now I’m going to sleep happy with a full stomach! I recommend...

I did not expect to like this restaurant because it's a chain. I prefer the "mom-and-pop" places for this kind of food because it's usually more authentic. BUT this place was good! Had the beef and lamb gyro with super fresh veggies. Fresh and soft pita that didn't have tough or dry edges. The tatziki was good! The fries were like my mom used to make at home when she'd cut up potatoes and deep fry them in oil in a Fry Daddy. Terrible for you but sooo good! The portions were large. The girl we're working the drive-thru was so very sweet and kind. You really need to give this place a try!! Only bad thing is the Kingwood location does not come up on the website, so you can't order online. Update: Seems to have reopened! Oh joy! 😁 I am so excited to have a good Mediterranean restaurant near by! I went last week and got the chicken bowl. I took it home and gave my daughter a portion before taking the pic. It was a very generous portion and everything was amazing! I'm not really a gyro meat fan so was pleasantly surprised when I bit into a moist and flavorful piece of chicken! The whole thing was so good! I also ordered the soup, which was decent, but that was after I bit into the amazing bowl. So I was more focused on that. I will definitely be back!
