This location has employees that care. I will always appreciate first class cuisine and service. The specialty of the house are the grilled and smoked fajita platters and parallias which are incredible. I live near the Briargrove location the new one. My favorite dishes are spinach and chicken enchiladas and I love to order Enchiladas Suizas however, the Suizas cheese should be Mexican white and swiss but they use only swiss at this location so it can either be heated up all the way through and the cheese melts away completely or it is served a little less hot like warm and there is swiss cheese that is not melted. Please fix and let me know so I can come back.
Update 5/14/2023 Okay El Tiempo has been open for a little while now... when I returned I just went for the basics Fajita Nachos and Margarita w Mezcal top shelf not tequila. My first drink was top notch all the way my second drink was the Male Bartender PACKED WITH ICE.. Very disappointing finished in two sips, I told them I was not a tourist... Secondly the small Fajita Platter is only SIX nachos which is what I wanted... they were prepared as if no one cared...LOOOK it's only 6 six nachos you can do a much better job of throwing some cheese on top of a few tiny chips with a sprinkle of jalapenos and small fajitas.. This location needs to REALLY PICK IT UP A NOTCH if you want to compete .. I would rather go to Richmond or Washington and I LIVE ON THE...
Read moreYesterday, on 3-11-2024, El Templo in the Galleria area was hailed as the best restaurant, and it has quickly become my new favorite spot. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, but let me tell you about the exceptional staff. Our server, Carlos, was a gem - he knew the menu inside and out, answering all of my questions with ease. As we were still deliberating over what to order, the manager, Anglic, approached our table with a warm greeting. Her positive energy was infectious. Then Carlos had suggested trying the fillet mignon fajitas, I was intrigued. Fillet mignon is my favorite cut of steak, and to have it in fajita form was a delightful surprise. When our food arrived, Carlos continued to impress with his attentive service. The food was outstanding, but what truly set El Templo apart was the exceptional management of Anglic. She ensured that every patron was well taken care of, guiding her staff with grace and ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. I have visited this restaurant a few times before, but yesterday's experience was unparalleled. I highly recommend El Templo in the Galleria area, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to the manager, Anglic, for making our visit even more memorable. This TexMex restaurant has now become my top choice, thanks to the impeccable service and warm hospitality...
Read moreThis is a beautiful El Tiempo. It used to be a steak house, and it's totally redone. There are photos of the Laurenzo family all over. The bathrooms are private stalls. However, the toilet paper seat covers needed to be restocked. I was given three menus, lunch specials, regular and drinks. I chose the spinach enchilada which comes with vegetarian black beans and rice. I wanted to compare the enchilada price on the menus. It's the same price. So I didn't get a reduced lunch menu price. I ordered the enchilada easy on the cheese. I think that the spinach mixture is already prepared as it wasn't light. I'd order it with no cheese next time and see if it can be done. The sauces are flavorful and enough to top the enchilada. The chips are served with green and red sauces. They're not greasy at all as I've seen in other restaurants. I hope this new location does well. There weren't too many folks dining there during a...
