I’m Chrishele’s husband from the other review. Having the check comped for going 30 minutes with no food or drink was generous and initially I felt things were turning around. Maybe they would have stayed well if we had the other nice server that actually told us the features take over our table. Maybe then I would have actually gotten the short rib entree I ordered rather than the spare rib appetizer. In any case, everyone has a bad day at work from time to time and our server definitely did. The attitude and tone I received from the owner after asking him to come over at the end is the reason we will not return. I expected to have another friendly conversation with him, but did want to point out that my entree was not what I ordered. I also wanted to thank him for comping the check and also to tell him that the appetizer was delicious anyway. Sadly this exchange did not turn out as I had hoped. Shortly after I began to speak, he interrupted me and told me to “get to the point”, and then he brushed me off when I asked about leaving a tip as he rattled off how much he comped for us. Before that conversation, I would have returned. In my decades of upscale and fine dining experiences, I’ve never been so insulted and embarrassed. My wife and I just wanted a night out to celebrate. Instead we got spoken to by the owner as if we had intended to penny pinch him. To make matters worse, my wife talked to him one last time hoping to clear up any potential misunderstanding and she got even more attitude. He made it quite clear that he was ready for us to leave and also that he did not care what we had to say. Maybe it was because the regulars that initially noticed our lack of service and pointed it out to him had already left. He was nice until that happened. Maybe he had a bad night too. Who knows? It’s not my responsibility to figure it out. We definitely won’t tolerate being treated this way at any restaurant. This put a damper on our reason to celebrate and the rest of our weekend....
Read moreI went to this restaurant for my birthday on Monday and overall it wasn't a bad experience, but I did have some issues that I have to take up with management now. I had a party of 5, myself included. My boyfriend ordered a steak and they brought him out a PORK CHOP. So he had to wait for a steak that was NOT cooked to his liking while we were all eating. After having to wait, he decided to eat it anyways. The waiter then tells us that mistake is on him and it's on the house. As we get our check, the waiter did not take the steak off as he said he would and we paid for it. My brother bringing it to the waiter's attention, he proceeded to bring us a new receipt. He charged us twice though so that was annoying. And if that wasn't upsetting enough, I don't know where they pack the left over food for customers, on a desk??? Because there was a STAPLE in my left overs!! The food was great, but the service,...
Read moreFrank's was recommended to us by a trusted friend and he was not wrong. The relaxed but elegant atmosphere put us at ease immediately. The drinks and wine were delicious. The waiter had a great balance of letting us chat with our friends at the table while still being attentive enough that we never felt like he was not ignoring us. The salads were all crisp, fresh, and delicious. The entrees were great. Those who tried the red fish or salmon were both very pleased with the quality, preparation, and taste of their dishes. I felt like the big winner with the pecan crusted pork chop. I substituted a side with the jalapeno cheddar grits and was not disappointed. They were amazing. We wrapped the evening with some coffee, bread pudding, and apple cobbler. Everyone agreed they were excellent. I highly recommend this...
