I came in to grab a coffee to go, while ordering I asked the cashier if the iced vanilla latte is super sweet and she said no. I said ok I don’t want my coffee too sweet and I went ahead and ordered. I get my coffee and took one sip and it tasted completely like chemicals and artificial sweetener (there was way too much vanilla syrup). I go back to the cashier and tell her it’s way too sweet and it tastes like chemical water and she just looks at me confused. Then I asked if they could add a shot of espresso to make it less sweet and that way they don’t have to remake it. She comes back and tells me it’ll be $1.50 to add a shot so I told her I want it remade it tastes horrible. She goes away again and comes back and says unfortunately we can’t remake it. Like what? How can a coffee shop refuse to remake a coffee they made wrong? Also they used sugar free vanilla syrup. Why would they only have sugar free syrups and not normal options available? No wonder the coffee tasted less like coffee and more like Splenda. At this point I’m annoyed so I asked for a refund and the cashier said she’ll have to go ask. She walks away again and everyone behind the counter and kitchen is now whispering and looking at me. A good 2-3 minutes go by and I’m just standing there, some man comes out the back and is processing my refund. At no point does he look at me, acknowledge me, or ask what happened or what he can do to rectify it, which is terrible customer service in my opinion. He then hands me my receipt, doesn’t say sorry or anything. Whoever owns and runs this establishment needs a lesson on how to talk to customers and service them. Would not recommend this...
Read morecustomer who TIP the employees beware that they are not getting the tips, the owner is
there is a tip jar and sometimes customers leave tips on the table. one day i noticed the owner take the tip jar to his back office right in the middle of the day. it seemed odd to me since it did not look like shifts were over and infact their empoyees were all busy and working since it was around lunch time.
i asked one of the ladies in spanish why did he do that? She stated we do not get those tips, the owner takes all the tips. I asked again are you serious those tips are for you all not the owner. another spanish lady next to her was overhearing our conversation and she gently noddeed her head to me as if she was saying yes that is true... we do not get tips here
so im sure they are paid very close to minium wage and probably would help alot of they received their tips that they rightfully owned though their work and servicing
so very cheap of the owner to do such a thing... seems more greedy than anything, since the food is severly overpriced anyways
so to all customer please know that if you tip you are giving extra money to the owners and not to the actual employees who are earing those tips
owner - if you read or see this please give all of the tips to your employees that they...
Read moreA very lackluster first experience with this cafe. I have never been here before and it was packed, I live nearby so I decided to come and eat breakfast here. I ordered a soft scramble turkey, feta, spinach and mushroom. I also ordered fresh squeezed orange juice. I received my meal and there was so much liquid in my eggs, it was not very appetizing to see, I was told that the mushroom is what does this so I sent it back and asked if I could have green peppers instead. I got the second dish back only to realize they never included my turkey as I had ordered previously. At this point I've already eaten more than half of my baguette and drank most of my orange juice simply waiting for my order to be done correctly. I decided to go to a manager and talk about it, they came back with my scramble correctly, and she gave me a cookie but unfortunately I don't do sweets. I appreciate the gesture, but as I had mentioned to her that I've already gone through my baguette and almost all of my juice so the first time experience of trying to eat breakfast with everything was not happening. I'm not sure if I would come back again just because the price doesn't seem to match the...
